I came here from the Flight Simulator called DCS (Digital Combat SIMULATOR). The YAK-52 is one of the planes that are free to fly over the holidays. This video may convince me to spend the $20 and get the virtual version of this very nice plane. Great camera work. Thanks!
Same here, I also picked up the DCS module during the holiday sale. Very cool to see a real life flight especially after trying the simulation Great video.
Seriously, that is awesome. I have only flewn the Yak-52 in the DCS simulator, but I can actually relate to almost everything I see here. I have a pilot license, so I know it is absolutely not the same (vibrations, buffeting, creaking, peripheric vision, load factor, inner ear stuff), but it's so cool nevertheless. Thanks for sharing!
Nice vid - I always open the gear lever gate before starting the takeoff roll - one less thing to faff with. Is there a reason why you lock it when the gear is retracted?

Very nice, thanks. Brings it all back - the rapid acceleration on take-off, the hissss of the gear, brakes, and flaps, and that fabulous roll rate.
