Wow, David! That's some nice resolution. New camera? :-) And nice to meet up again with this old friend I learned from your Acoustic Guitar Method Book.
Thanks Joel! Yes, everything from January till now has been shot with this setup, so everything in the Fingerstyle Improvisation series, but we also got the angles on the guitar neck better for the more recent ones :-).
Just recently found your channel, and I think it's pretty terrific. I'm an expat living in Indonesia so all of my guitar instruction comes from UA-cam, and your channel is one of the best. I have run into a problem in the last week or so, however, in that I can't seem to get a response from your website when I click to get the TAB for the lessons. It worked fine at first and I downloaded several TABs, but lately I get no answering email in my inbox after I enter my info. I do find it a bit strange to repeatedly sign up for your newsletter everytime I want to get a TAB, but that seems to be the way you've set it up. If I'm doing something wrong, please let me know. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Meanwhile, still enjoying the videos. thanks...
David, I have been working on a basic version of Careless Love and this lesson is brilliant! Exactly what I needed to turn a simple progression into something far more interesting and to also learn some priceless principles that I can hopefully apply to other songs in the future. One question. When you perform the improvisation at the end, were you “playing the changes” per your other video series? I assume you weren’t just noodling over a single scale but wanted to better understand how you approached the improv portion of the performance. Thanks. Truly outstanding material!
That was a brilliant lesson.
Always enjoy your instructions!
Very cool David. Thanks for another great tutorial.
love it, love it, love it.
Another excellent tutorial, David - always enjoy your stuff!

Hi Dennis - I'm so sorry to hear that! I've emailed you directly to try and sort it out.

Hey Bruce - yes, applying the same ideas one would for single-note soloing to the fingerstyle context at around 8:44 - missed notes and all!
