I'm the most neurotic person I've ever met -- seriously. It causes my to be erratic and too much for anyone to handle (long term). I truly have no one in my life (family or otherwise) that can tolerate me. I've developed many successful relationships (taking years) -- but even those end with them abandoning me because I (slowly) reveal my true self and it's curtains. Every single time. I literally tell these people what I need (isn't that supposed to make it easier, and more tolerable?) -- and that is encouragement. --"You do a good job at work," ...." you are extremely self - sufficient , at that is admirable"-- as I have no blood relatives in my life-- so no one to support me if the worst happens --
Turns out, it's exactly what I believed to be true -- I'mm a burden, no one can tolerate me, no one sees the fragility, -- and they escape me, and my personality -- which I have successfully changed a few times , over the last twenty years -- but I just feel like -- when is who I've become going to be tolerable?

    • @Lulubelle.III.
      @Lulubelle.III. 3 місяці тому +1

Outsourcing my sanity, or insanity has only led me to abandonment -- being forsaken...not a burden anyone is willing to bear -- too crazy, too much, "I have my own insane family to deal with and this crazy, isolated person is not worth my "coddling."
JBP has said very early on that "people" need so little encouragement to feel good -- keep moving forward -- and therefore trying to change their lives one small step at a time. I couldn't agree more with this -- I do it INTENTIONALLY to those who are doing a great job -- but, after 42 years, I can't find a soul that is willing to give me an inch -- "good job." etc etc

I know what you mean. I continue to ask my heavenly father (Jesus' father) to give me wisdom and I have faith that he will provide for my needs as his Word promises. The Bible tells us He knows what we need and that we should seek His Kingdom first and all these things shall be added for us. His Word and Spirit will show us the way to live our lives. God bless

Without God and JP I would have killed myself 5 years ago. This is coming from someone who was only 15 when I acquired severe depression and anxiety. I'm 42. I'm finally starting to live.

I have never played social games, most of the time I will just point out what a person may be doing, I don’t roll eyes, frown at people and do all that kind of stuff. Most of the time, I just tell them, question what that behaviour or facial expression means, or just walk away because I can’t articulate what I dislike.

It's surprising that someone who is a psychologist has these dangerous opinions. The first thing a psychologist needs to do in order to be able to give advice to others is to be able to be not doing anything and stay sane at the same time. This is very basic, yet this person is advising not to ever stop working! That's insane

Thanks for honoring freedom of speech.
Preaching ... either Catholic or Protestant religion ... as does Jordan ... is NOT ... and ... never has been ... a work of silence ... as preachers are all very noisy.
However ... had Jesus existed as a religious Jew ... HE would have been very silent concerning the preaching of either a Catholic or Protestant religion.
Maybe someone ought to inform Jordan and all other Christians of that "matter."

Let those that curse curse this day, for I am he that has roused Leviathan.
His name is Yaldabaoth, and his story is that of a God born of a single goddess (mother).
His mother, the Aeon Sophia (Wisdom) casts him from the pleroma (Home/heaven/ acceptance).
The Gnostics explain that this is why the material world (created by Yaldabaoth) is flawed because HE is flawed.
He is flawed...cuz he was raised without the presence of a male Aeon.
I see a metaphor for the single mother of a vengeful son.
    Fear is blasphemy.

Let me save you 12 minutes. Dr Peterson talks about the importance of having a daily routine and sticking to it. He gives no advice how to do this just tells you what he does. Copy that if you want. This whole could have been 60 seconds and you wouldn't have missed anything.

    • @tristancain979

Obviously a quite arrogant statement coming from someone that named themselves bogart so you dont know how to pass a joint but can criticize a more accomplished human being that has helped and saved the lives of millions after he got tired if teaching at one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the world ...just because you only heard 30 seconds of the advice doesnt mean there isnt alot more to understand so id say work on your reading and listening comprehension skills ...or maybe im way out of line here im sure youve been a Harvard professor im sure youve broke scandals, testified before congress, have a phd and are well known around the world for being an exceptional human being ...NO ? well then id say go back to school and learn something.

Oh 60 seconds not 30 my mistake ... See already 50% smarter than i had originally judged so maybe im the a$$hole but id still reevaluate the arrogance in summing up such complexity in 60 seconds you are clearly missing something more important and at the same time complaining about not giving instructions on how but i thought you could sum it up in 60seconds ...cant figure out how to do something you said that could be summed up in 60 seconds well lets hear it bogart you got the answers i wanna hear them...but they're probably all written down in the 3 or 4 books youve written about the subject ...right ?

It doesn't mean paying work, but working at your life too. How awesome it would be to accomplish your goals. Do you want to afford to travel? Work an extra job with the goal of seeing another country, that's fulfilling. Or maybe you buy an older home that needs a lot of work, so you learn to repair the house and work really hard at that when you get off work. Or you teach your kids how to repair a lawn mower, or teach them carpentry. If you don't know how to do any of that ask someone who does to show you. It's more satisfying to constantly learn. That's not saying you can't have fun - invite people over for a meal and a board game or discuss a book, or build a bonfire and have conversations. Live more fully while engaging with everything around you.
