Thanks Kathy for the video. I will try to do the grading of the seams the way you showed. Very interesting, Looking forward to more videos. Because of our ages, most of my friends have stopped sewing. It's a passion of mine , and though I have what they call an essential tremor, I plan to sew as long as possible, I'm so thankful for this gift of sewing and love to share with others, I am now sewing for my nieces grandbabies. Take care.
Kathy thank you so much. I watched your last video yesterday and I was going to ask if you would do a video on the front band . When I cut out my cc pattern do I sew this band in the same place as the band that comes with the pattern does that make sence 🤔
@@kathyssewingstudio sorry, when I cut out my pattern and it's a normal button up front dress and does not come with a band can I add a band like you made to it ? Even though it does not come with a band, does that make sence?
@@jimbrent6037 if the pattern does not have a band on the front (but just a fold over facing), you can add a band, but you will have to change the pattern front. For a 1" band, you make the 1" band + seam allowances, so would be 1-1/2" wide. Then you cut away 1/4" inside (towards the body of the blouse) from the center front of the blouse pattern. This is actually removing 1/2" - half of the 1" band and then adding back in the 1/4" seam allowance. Doing it this way ensures that you don't change the location of the CF of the blouse. Hope that helps. 😊
So glad that you're learning new things. The pattern can be purchased in my Etsy shop: www.etsy.com/listing/1038739873/tiffanythomas-diaper-set-pdf-pattern
