  • In this moving tribute piece, the composer has created a breathtakingly gorgeous band work inspired by the idea that even after death, a person's memory can inspire, comfort, and influence our daily lives. A poignant original melody and Go Tell it on a Mountain are both effectively used to memorialize Maddie Milner, a trumpet player in the Bayfield, CO High School band, who passed on doing what she loved in a skiing accident her freshman year. Your students and audience will surely get emotionally involved with every aspect of this stunning work!

We played this piece in 2012. It was gorgeous. One of my favourite pieces from high school. I think we were one of the firsts to play this.
