    I watched another video, besides this one, reviewing the Mardi Gras food. The other video was three hours long and the whole video was so slow and just them complaining the entire time. This video was a breathe of fresh air! Everything I need in a review video, fantastic job! Everyone in this video was so positive and actually made me excited to go to Mardi Gras at Universal!! Thank you all for doing such a good review, I hope you get the appreciation you deserve!!!

    Really looking forward to my first Orlando Informer experience this December. I’ll have to be quick on those tickets when they drop! Good for you “inventing” that thing-it’s genius!

    The okonomiyaki pronunciation was pretty spot on! The seafood flavor may come from the katsuobushi (dried tuna flakes).

Otherwise, almost all of these look so amazing and delicious, I think I'd love the fried green tomato po boy because I am addicted to fried green tomatoes! Oh, and that corn, I now need to figure out how to make it at home! Cheers to a great video!

    Present day in Mobile, Alabama was part of Louisiana/New Orleans at the time that Mardi Gras started ( Hello Louisiana Purchase lol) so to say that New Orleans is the birthplace of Mardi Gras is actually correct. ⚜️

    • @bamacapt115
      @bamacapt115 Рік тому

      No it's not. Mobile is the birthplace. Mobile was established before New Orleans and were already celebrating Mardi Gras.

    • @robinvjackson
      @robinvjackson Рік тому

      @@bamacapt115 Yes, Mobile was part of Louisiana at that time lol.

    • @robinvjackson
      @robinvjackson Рік тому

      @@bamacapt115 and so I’m not accused of being biased - from the Alabama website: “The town of Mobile and its fort served as the capital of French Louisiana until mid-1711, when the settlement was relocated to the present site of Mobile, Alabama.” What was known as Mobile back then was in Louisiana adjacent to New Orleans. Present day Mobile is not even in the same location

    • @bamacapt115
      @bamacapt115 Рік тому

      @@robinvjackson yes Mobile was part of the French territory of Louisiana. Doesn't change the fact that Mardi Gras started there and not New Orleans. What territory it's apart of at the time is irrelevant.

    7 minute egg just means that it was boiled for 7 minutes which indicates how soft/hard boiled it is, for example, a 6-minute egg has an almost runny yoke

    WTH? A true Puerto Rican Piña Colada is supposed to be creamy, like a slush. That's coconut pineapple juice with ice.

    Mobile is where the first party took place, and New Orleans is where it first became an official celebration. I randomly got to meet you at the beginning of February by where the Tribute store used to be located. I jotted down your name on my phone to check out your YT channel. Your recommendations to be more the Columbian and Indonesian spots were fantastic. It was lovely to meet you! Also, as a New Orleans native, I must say that going to Universal for Mardi Gras is a much more family-friendly experience. It's actually where we take our kids instead of downtown.

    • @bamacapt115
      @bamacapt115 Рік тому

      Not true. Mobile was celebrating Mardi Gras before New Orleans was even established.
