This is so rare, Liam holding the mic, Noel playing a red epiphone guitar, Liam stood so far in front of the band, live singing over a studio recording on Rock n Roll star. This is gold for any Oasis purist
Re: holding the mic: someone must’ve momentarily misplaced his tambo ;) I seriously think that the reason he stands with his hands behind his back is to keep himself from wanting to play the tambo all’tha’time!!! 😆
Wow never seen this, oasis at the top of their game here. Liam giving it his all before the vocal chords disintegrated. Tony mccarroll makes an important contribution to rock’n’roll star. Noel with his almost psychedelic lyrics which was perfect at the time as most of us where getting mashed on quality hashish, shame everything had to change and we all got older.
Definitely, not maybe... Live drums too... @ 5:42 the pre-recorded tracks drop out for some reason... WHY? I reckon they were unawares that this was the best band in the world at the time
Oasis for me is and will always be this version with Tony McCarroll....he wasnt the best drummer but he was the oasis drummer.... they were never the same when he left
interesting!! this is July 1994. Liam is still singing "I'd like to buy the world a coke"… yet the revised version had been released a month prior (June 94). the backing track sounds different to the Def Maybe version.
Hand on the mic era. I wonder if any anoraks out there have defined when he switched to hands behind back, belting it out upwards into the mic? Was there a transitionary phase, or was it really sudden?
2 Questions. 1. Who did the sound of Supersonic at the beginning 2. Who used the tambourine in the solo of Supersonic Btw this video is what Hazed always says
Sounds like the used instrumental backing tracks from the studio , with vocals live on top... at the end of rock n roll star it has the exact feedback sounds, then on supersonic you can hear the pick slide but neither Noel or Bonehead are sliding a pick, then @5:42 it sounds like it cut the live sound and went full pre-recorded backing tracks... But WHY?
Just look at him bobbing away on his drum stool lol

My favorite Oasis drummer. Turned me right off Noel to learn what a cunt he was to Tony, and the rest of the band were total pussies, just letting Noel roll over McCarroll because they were scared to step up and defend a mate. When I think of Oasis, I think of Tony on drums.
The only band ???? Yeh the Monday’s, the La’s, the Roses, the Charlatans, Cast, Ocean colour scene, the Verve all these were cool as fuck, Nirvana looked like they were selling the big issue
This is ace! What's the warehouse club now in Leeds? Trying to locate it, because there is a club called Warehouse now in Leeds now and it definitely wasn't this place then?
***** Yeah the early 00's indie explosion....Give me all that again rather than all these precise electronic / indie bands now, who can't even bare to do anything raw on stage! The Music - what a fucking amazing band.
I mean you can shit-talk Calvin Harris and Bruno Mars all you want but they make/write most of their own music, so you really shouldn't be shit-talking them, you should be giving them props if anything. Sure Calvin Harris is very mainstream, but fuck it, he's making money, he can do what he wants. But there was a whole after Michael Jackson for good wholesome 'Motown' music, and Bruno Mars still holds that spot -- he's not too soul, not too pop, not too 'neo-soul', but a good blend of all three. He choreographs his own shit, he can dance, sing, write, play. Honestly, no need to shit-talk the man. I understand what you mean about the lack of 'raw' sounding rock bands though. Everyone seems to dressed up and artificial, if that makes sense.
Always chuffed to see people mention The Music the term 'underrated band' is thrown around a lot these days but fuck me those lads well and truly were. Always found it fitting the band that made me fall in love with music was The Music
Yeah agree, the music industry has finally got a hold of creativity and rawness - major labels who claim they've got it right are picking their artists from the same fucking tree! There's no 'new wave explosion' of music anymore that comes with a fashion, a movement and way of life - we see it on TV and have to vote for it before they arrive at the top of your spotify or vevo playlist. I've seen The Music a few times, the most prolific gig was at Bridlington Spa in 2002 and the Kings Of Leon were supporting! I love them
Please man, could you please share Shakermaker privately? I'm begging you. This is the best live vocal performance by Liam of this song, if you can't share the original video don't worry, but please upload at least the audio. I can't find it anywhere else. Please man, I'm on my knees. Could you upload that one to mega or send it to my e-mail?
timetowaste No man, you got me wrong, sorry for the misunderstanding. I.mean, I'm looking for that performance in its original sound quality (like Rock n Roll Star and most of supersonic sounds here), he edited the audio from shakermaker due to copyright, and it sounds awful, I'm looking for the original, uncensored one.
So this is liam. My mother told me that i look like liam gallagher but i am short my height is 5'4 and i have black shorter hair i guess im the Short version of this man. Hes great i believe they are the best band in the world next to the beatles

Liam's singing with the greatest of ease here. My favourite oasis concerts are from 9'4. He was only about 22 back then.

George Thomson noel was looking cool here too
George Thomson I LOVE his voice here but I personally prefer his voice from 95 to early 2000 when they appeared on Jools Holland again.
Greatest concert Maine road 96. First night (my opinion)
I’m 22 & I’m a singer-songwriter, Liam is my idol!
Liam's voice at its best
Liam's voice here is something marvellous.

Jesus Christ. They didn't even know they were witnessing history! Incredible monumental
That voice. At its absolute best.Like an evil angel.
So it sounds like a cd playing with live vocals.
that's basically it lmao
Why does everyone start sentences with “so” these days. Well spotted with the observation mind. Top singing from Liam,

@@clouseaux That's just a video tape issue. Its still the album track, just with very little high end.
@@alfieholloway everyone one says 'y'all' now instead. y'all noticed that? hate it.
What a mad year.. Oasis, clubs, Ibiza and all that high.
The calm before the storm. Oasis went fucking massive after this. The rest is history
"The rest", as in, the entire 18 months they weren't crap? Everything after 'Morning Glory' was embarrassing.
there`s only one word that sums up Oasis; conviction.
7:23
liams hand is on the mic, but then it cuts to a shot without his hand on the mic
Fascinating.
They sound like alternative takes from the studio! Incredible!
It’s the studio backing track with Liam singing live
Noel "playing" the guitar is one of the most cute things ive ever seen xD
Omg....thank you so much for uploading this!!!! Incredible performance
Back in the days when people had character and personality - no reliance on social media shite
David Ashton : Go back to bed you absolute trumpet!

One of the greatest bands. Amazing songs. The only Oasis.
They were great for an eye blink. By 1997 they were exposed.
great video! never saw this before, oasis are absolutely awesome
His voice at that time. Oh my goodness. He was on his best point.
27 fucking years ago. Mental.. I grew up in the wrong time I feel...then again, I'm 22 so I'm.in the prime of my life lol.. madness how life works out

omg I go here on nights out all the time & had no idea they did a gig here!! so cool
Top marks to the geezer who’s upscaled this 2 HD

Play back but Liam’s actually singing?!?!?
Shakermaker hasn't been removed as stated in description. Good !!
My mood in a concert is like the guy with red shirt in the crowd.
Noel forgetting to mime to the opening chord riff on supersonic 🤣. Camera cuts back then he’s playing it

Liam pantomiming like Shaun Ryder in Shakermaker. How can someone be so pure.
he didn't force the voice at all here, it even sounds weird
sad that they got rid of tony mac!, it was never the same, after that. though, liam still sounded like a beast for a few more years!
Tony was great. Best oasis drummer in my humb op
