He felt Superman needed another film in order to further flesh out his character, or to define the relationship between him and Lois Lane, but no. We're being given this Lex Luthor Batman Flash Wonderwoman Steel or Cyborg right after the first friggin Superman movie.
This really evokes the sense of a man trying to find his place in this world, and then becoming something far beyond anything he could have ever dreamed. Definitely Superman.

Don't care what anyone says, I've seen Superman and Man of Steel and I think I got more joy and inspiration from watching Man of Steel than I did watching the first Superman. I agree, the first two Superman films that came out where perfection in their time and a lot of people still think they are to this day. I'm not saying I hate the original Superman movies. I just prefer Man of Steel.
This song perfectly sounds like a boy who grew up in a smalltown of Smallville and grew up to be strong and brave and courageous and wanting to do the right thing. They nailed this.
Once I left the theater, this song never escaped my mind, it kept playing over and over. I love how we remember things so epic that they play in our minds to our own desire.
Really? Wow, you must have a good memory. I've listened to this theme quite a few times, and besides that dull piano riff at the beginning, I can barely remember a single note from this generic theme tune.
I heard this song in Zack Snyder's Justice League and it gave me goosebumps! The 2021 version is a masterpiece compared to the 2017 version that was edited by Joss Whedon. In Snyder we trust.
that is not true. It actually is worse. The butchering of Batman, Superman, and Darkseid made it really easy to spot that the Josstice League is a better-written film.
I personally loved Man of Steel. Very underrated movie. It has its flaws but no movie's perfect. The flashbacks show you the human aspect of Superman's character and makes you think about what you would do if you lived the same life Clark Kent has lived. This movie is 100 times better than that god awful Superman Returns movie.
+TheAdam1995 Superman II has always been a bit overrated for me. Superman I is cool though. Superman II is good too but people call it the best Superman film. But for me it's between Man of Steel and Superman: The Movie.
I want this to play at the end of Justice League, as they put the finishing touches on the Watchtower and Superman smilies as both of his fathers dreams are finally realised. They have joined him in the sun.
Kind of like how it did in the animated movie with a bunch of heroes running and flying down the stairs and then at the end Batman superman and wonder woman follow them yeah it would be nice.
pros of Man of steel: Good Special FX Brilliant Cast performances Excellent villain Awesome costumes Great story line Perfect music Cons: N/A why do people hate this movie??
I love the movie. Here are my pros: Good Acton/CGI Good Cast/Acting Good Story Good Easter Eggs Good Soundtrack Cons: Not great chemistry between Lois and Superman Should of replace Henry's 17 year old Clark with a teenager No movie is perfect. I love Man of Steel though. My favourite superhero movie of all time.
I just had a terrible car accident three weeks ago (March 20th). My mom, an aunt and a cousin were riding with me. Unfortunately, my aunt died a week later because she was a very weak lady physically speaking (almost 40 years fighting brain tumors), but her soul was unbreakable. This song is helping me cope with the situation, cause I feel guilty and sad, but I hope strength will come. Blessings to all those who have suffered accidents.
One is striving for excitement and hope aswell as the ideal of greatness and shining light (John Williams) and man of steels theme represents Clark at best growing up and accepting his destiny and identity as a another life form aswell as hope (Han zimmer)
I've seen both this and the Christopher Reeve films. This movie is awesome: Henry Cavill's portrayal of Superman as a relatable individual is indescribably good. Once Clark learns he has powers he is essentially told he is a flawed, MORTAL being. He's identifiable that way. And Hans Zimmer's music is epic and memorable. Compare all you want; this film is incredible.
“They can be a great people, Kal-El, if they wish to be. They only lack the light to show the way. For this reason above all, their capacity for good, I have sent them you... my only son."
I was not a fan of Man of Steel, but Hans Zimmer absolutely cooked with this theme. It really does represent the feeling of hope that Superman embodies.
no it wasnt? this was a bad era for superman, this movie did nothing for the character and if anything it probably ruined the perception of him. injustice coming in with the evil superman trope didnt help neither
You Will Give the People of Earth an Ideal to Strive Towards. They Will race behind You. They will stumble...they will fall. But in Time They Will Join You In the Sun. In Time...You Will Help Them ACCOMPLISH WONDERS.
its amazing how two very different themes, john williams' and hans zimmer's, can both perfectly summarize the same character. john williams, representing the whimsical fun of superman, and hans zimmer showcasing superman's power as a symbol to strive towards as a society.
This song musically portrays the fact that we as humans can overcome the greatest obstacles and that no force is powerful enough to stop willpower. We can do it and push through to the very end no matter what gets in our way!
This theme gives you the origin feeling of Superman Rising, Zimmer said that his idol is Williams and he didnt listen to the Williams theme for time he is making this theme so he can produce this quality, a perfection mix between the past and the contemporary, if you listen carefully he gives it the same tempo of the original.... so you can feel the arise of Superman, if you listen to the Williams after this one you'll know how it rolls.
To me, this music tells the story by itself. The piano piece for me is darker and tells of Kal-El's tragic deliverance. 0:32- 1:20 tells of his flight through space and his childhood. 1:20 - 2:03 tells of the buildup in Clark's life that pointed him in the right direction. 2:04... well, that, in an incredibly epic way, tells of his final transformation into Superman.
+Ewan Suttie People hate what they don't understand. Be their hero Clark, be their saviour, or be none of it. You don't owe this world a thing, you never did.
Every time i hear the superman theme, it doesnt matter which; i hear the same words in my head, and i suppose whenever i think of superman in general i hear those words, even when i was a kid i heard it, even if i didnt quite understand the words at the time, maybe no one understands the power that the words hold and the amazing ability to have those words summed up in a single person. Its get me through the rough days, when i think that life is shit and people are terrible, so i repeat those same words to myself again and again and again... Have hope.
I think of my son the most when listening to this masterpiece especially when i the movie Jor El had said " ive have held that hope in my arms " never stop testing your limits Adam 🌅
Our world desperately needs a Superman in this time of turmoil, chaos, & lost hope. This song & the 5 minute version literally gives me goosebumps. Uplifting & powerful.
Patrick Starr he should do it and smile at the league when he shows up and when he does all of the league should look amazed as he takes on the villain to defend them. And they all cheer him on.

He felt Superman needed another film in order to further flesh out his character, or to define the relationship between him and Lois Lane, but no. We're being given this
Lex Luthor Batman Flash Wonderwoman Steel or Cyborg right after the first friggin Superman movie.
Yeah...
What next, Aquaman??
jeeze.
People stuck in the classics, but Cavil will forever be the best super man in my opinion. We will miss you Henry
This really evokes the sense of a man trying to find his place in this world, and then becoming something far beyond anything he could have ever dreamed. Definitely Superman.

One of the few things I won't complain about Man of Steel is the soundtrack. It was amazing.
***** some how indirectly people want to point out bad things, fuck that, just watch the god damn movie and enjoy
No, it didn't
then you should rather keep your opinion yourself, than going to the video of the movie you hate and comment so that it will make others buthurt
You have every right, but going to a video of that film and bitching is not a right its stupidity
why am i idiot ? if i was hating this film, then i wouldn't come here and show my opinion as "UNIVERSAL FACT"
How is it that this guy Hans Zimmer consistently turns out these incredible tunes? the guy's a genius
Just when you think he can't possibly make anything better, he makes 10 tracks more xD!
Weed my friend... WEED!
absolutely!!! dude just keeps pumping out those absolute bangers🔥
Same here. It's haunting...in the best possible way.
With the health crisis where at rn, this gives me a glimpse of hope. Be safe everyone, we’ll get thru this soon!!

that is not true.

+Most Wanted Films
and way better movie than Superman 2!
COME AT ME, FANBOYS!!!!!!!
+TheAdam1995 this movie was shit but it's is better than superman 3 and 4 and superman returns and super man 1 and 2 will also be the best
+TheAdam1995 Superman II has always been a bit overrated for me. Superman I is cool though. Superman II is good too but people call it the best Superman film. But for me it's between Man of Steel and Superman: The Movie.
+Remy "Gambit" LeBeau I love Superman II, but I agree it's overrated.Having said that, I think the Donner Cut is awesome though.
+Remy "Gambit" LeBeau 2 is better than 1.
I want this to play at the end of Justice League, as they put the finishing touches on the Watchtower and Superman smilies as both of his fathers dreams are finally realised. They have joined him in the sun.
+BattleScones What was "cringey" about that? What, you don't like superman with a smile on his face.
Fuck you and good day, Mr. Snyder.
Kind of like how it did in the animated movie with a bunch of heroes running and flying down the stairs and then at the end Batman superman and wonder woman follow them yeah it would be nice.
Wow that is one of the best ideas I've ever heard

I love the movie.
Here are my pros:
Good Acton/CGI
Good Cast/Acting
Good Story

Good Soundtrack
Cons:
Not great chemistry between Lois and Superman

This motivates me whenever I'm down or feeling sad indeed superman is a symbol of hope and this theme captures that perfectly
This film made me feel HOPEFUL !!! Went to Iraq 4 times(combat vet) most times I need hope.
I am an Iraq combat vet, suffer from depression, anxiety, flashbacks of combat,etc,etc,...this song uplifts me. NUFF SAID.
Wow, that's sad, hopefully it'll get better.

Love this perspective of it!
I love when this music came up during all the big superman moments in BvS
Just saw it your very right
This played before the sacrifice
it was played in the opening scene too ... That was epic 👌
If he comes back with this song it will be great!
me too dude, me too :')
why do people compare it to Williams' theme!? it's not there to compete ffs... both are epic
By different composers. It's natural to compare things.
It's also stupid to compare them when they are obviously striving for very different effects.
Compare all you want; this film is incredible.
possibly my favorite theme ever

This is my Superman. I waited all throughout Justice League to hear it & cheered when Superman showed up
This era of superman was a good era
no it wasnt? this was a bad era for superman, this movie did nothing for the character and if anything it probably ruined the perception of him. injustice coming in with the evil superman trope didnt help neither
Never thought it that way before
Bingo
Williams' theme is how the world sees Superman
Zimmer's theme is how Superman sees himself
You'll just have to decide what kind of man you want to grow up to be, Clark. Whoever that man is, he's gonna change the world.
Good or bad
Man of Steel is the one superhero movie that becomes better and better over time. In my book, one of the best superhero movies ever made.
Its literally a perfect Superman movie.
This song musically portrays the fact that we as humans can overcome the greatest obstacles and that no force is powerful enough to stop willpower. We can do it and push through to the very end no matter what gets in our way!

“My son was on the plane. He saw what Brandon did.”
This theme gives you the origin feeling of Superman Rising, Zimmer said that his idol is Williams and he didnt listen to the Williams theme for time he is making this theme so he can produce this quality, a perfection mix between the past and the contemporary, if you listen carefully he gives it the same tempo of the original.... so you can feel the arise of Superman, if you listen to the Williams after this one you'll know how it rolls.
if you mix them they blend well
And it's likely that Williams took HIS cues from the original Fleischer cartoons
"They will stumble. They will fall.
But in time, they will join you in the sun Kal"
To me, this music tells the story by itself. The piano piece for me is darker and tells of Kal-El's tragic deliverance. 0:32- 1:20 tells of his flight through space and his childhood. 1:20 - 2:03 tells of the buildup in Clark's life that pointed him in the right direction. 2:04... well, that, in an incredibly epic way, tells of his final transformation into Superman.

Have hope.
