Yo, can you imagine you are walking on a street, then suddenly a gang of people surround you and groping you, then say to your ear 'you are great~'. Why are these things keep doing to ma boy Stark T_T
Wirbel befriending Stark and Laufen deciding Denken is her granddad and him deciding that means he needs to adopt Richter as his son too are top tier narrative choices.
Frieren also said the food tasted better because it actually did. The chef said he is the best in the world and that he will do what what no chef can. He made his recipies even better. The taste changed. But now its even better than it was and frieren lived for long enough to tell the difference.
This episode was so great in terms of development. Seeing Himmel, knowing he wouldn't be alive but still askibg for the chef to pass on his knowledge to future generations, just so Frieren could relive that experience, and in the flashback at the end, you can see that in Episode 2, Frieren already spoke about helping others not just for the sake of helping but 'for herself.' I can only imagine if one day she'll be able to speak with Himmel again; I'll dehydrate from crying so much.
Every time a Himmel scene starts and there is soft music there is like a tightness in my chest as my body braces for the feels. I feel like this anime has given me a conditioned response to seeing Himmel or Frieren remembering Himmel.
I mean, i am pretty sure hair pulling is their love language. Same as head pats. Gift giving. Or being bratty. Fern has lost two dads and a mum. From her first appearance she always tried to act like an adult in miniature, even mothering Frieren. I find it kinda sweet that she feels comfortable enough that she can let that go, to express her childish and bratty side. She is taking time to prioritize herself. She practically forces Frieren and Stark into being the adults for the day, so she can take the day off
Übel is basically a living clipboard mage. Kinda terrifying ngl. Perhaps right now she might not have a lot in the bank. But once she starts collecting.... 👀 Also, she has no prerogative to kill a mage... Yet..... Because once she copies their magic, she's probably free to kill them later.
15:58 "They're Gay" (five Seconds later) Never mind 😅 I've never seen the two of them as gay I have to be honest, they're friends and rivals who like to troll each other like real friends.
I love that your nickname for Land is "Clone Man" 😂 Also any time I know there's a Himmel and Frieren moment in an episode, you're the best person I've seen react to them. Because you're just like me fr fr when it comes to them. Best ship of all time. Best anime of all time.
The herbal tee my grandfather collected ingredients in the woods himself is lost in time. Or the grandiose garlic-cheese sause in that burger that we ate in our school time. The cheep railway station restaurant in the middle of Vienna is long gone. This hits as hard as Voll. Well done.
I am on the same boat as you as far as this series as one of my all-time faves; everything that you could ask for in an anime is beautiful woven and incorporated that will last the test of time. It's a perfect series to recommend to someone who are new to the world of Japanese animation. Regarding the exam, I feel that regardless of the outcome--if Frieren passes or not-- we all know that this doesn't apply to her given that from the last episode, it was said that Frieren was THE LAST GREAT MAGE, accompanied by the holy emblem that she carries with her. For the rest of the crew (humans), this is definitely a big deal given the benefits that come with the title as a first class mage. Great reaction as always and looking forward to the next one! 🙏🏻💚
Oh no... The preview for the next episode mentioned a Mimic (the chest), Frieren's ultimate counter. She is doomed without help! The Mimic even won 3rd place in a popularity poll.
Ubel has always given me the impression of a mad dog (and ubel does mean 'bad'). I feel like she's going to go very dark at some point. On another note, I had never picked up that Frieren had become Himmel until you reframed it that Fern is Frieren. Thanks.
Lol most of the world snacks on bread. Japan actually picked up on it from Europe as European style bread is pretty popular. I guess not so much of a huge thing in America where you are commercially bombarded with sugar and eat dessert for breakfast.
I'm wondering, could Fern's overall grumpiness and brattiness in this episode be a subtle indication that she is feeling stressed and worried about the upcoming tests? It's easy to overlook just how young she is, given her talent, but this is like THE final qualification examination for her profession, like the Bar for lawyers, or the Certification exams for doctors. And Fern is probably the youngest of all the examinees. And until now she has never had to act, as a mage, independently of Frieren. Like Frieren has let Fern fight opponents on her own, but Fern still knows that Frieren is nearby, and can trust that she will intervene if things ever got truly difficult. But, given what she's seen of how the first stage test was set up, she cannot expect that the test rules would necessarily allow Frieren to help her, and indeed, there is every possibility that she may have to compete directly against Frieren at some point. And the thought of that is probably pretty daunting for Fern, even if she isn't outwardly saying it.
NO BECAUSE HOW DO THEY WRITE THIS SO WELL PLEASE?!
15:59 Are u stupid? , not gay, laeine and kanne is bestie
I found out that Himmel was voiced by the same VA who did Bakugo from MHA. 😂

Faroh: "Who the fuck snacks on bread?!"
*Me, tearing off a piece of bun to snack on*
*Yes, I know what that sounds like*
Most Americans do not know good bread.
ua-cam.com/video/FovIyqov1uA/v-deo.htmlsi=T5yz9i1ZbZuiBCT8
the germans that watched this also thought the same thing.
Himmel's eating what Stark is eating because Frieren remembered what Himmel had been eating and recommended it to Stark.
good catch
Oh that is sweet
Love all the details you manage to pull out of each episode. Always a treat.
Aww I’m glad 😭
"Who the fuck snacks on bread?"
Me who is literally snacking on bread while watching this video: "That would be crazy right?"

The name of the chef is "Lecker". :D "Lecker" in German means "yummy" (delicious!)
the chef do be looking yummy ngl frfr 😳
14:47 I appreciate how both men and women got Ubel and Wirbel respectively to fill that dangerous-hot role.
Übel is basically a living clipboard mage. Kinda terrifying ngl. Perhaps right now she might not have a lot in the bank. But once she starts collecting.... 👀

Himmel is so soft spoken then there's Bakugo

I just call him denji cuz he looks like him despite the undercut

Well done.
16:07 to be fair... a fluffy, hot, freshly baked bun / loaf would be incredible as a snack
Not Faroh going for the 5-head older brother of Lawine hahaha
Frieren gets a comically large pile of steaks; Faroh on the verge of tears "This show is so beautiful it just toys with my emotions."
16:56 the way Wriple got you to say Astgfur Allah as if he just showed up in your face 😂
19:04 can you believe that he's the voice of Bakugo from MHA. his voice here is so soft you can't recognize him
@@elbaraaabuaraki327 or even the voice of 'Accelerator' whose psychotic laugh still haunts me from the sister's arc.

This season is going to end in peak and I'm here for it

sounds like someone's never had good bread before
Frieren recommended the omurice to Stark bc she remembers that Himmel liked it.

17:08 Haha, Stark is always being felt up by a bunch of men or sleeping next to half naked ones. ^_^
This was the pouting Fern episode 😂
Me as a german: fresh bread is a good snack, tywm!😢❤
😂

I loooove your reactions because they are basically a mirror of mine LOL. Arabic words included.
Frieren 100%Pass😂 Well, Let's see what happen in the future. Love you reaction😊
Bread is a good snack!
Understandable, coming from a goose.
@@sevenwhitesheeps Fair point

I got scared 💀
Loving the gayness from the girlies
Fern Pouts are just too strong, even for Frieren.
Gotta wonder if you have watched/read Ascendance of a Bookworm yet.
I hope you start shipping Ubel and Land (glasses boy) with me after this episode, haha. Loved their interactions.
u watched AOT right? have u not noticed that one guy who stole stark is voiced by Jean's VA?
Great reaction beautiful goddess ❤

15:51 are you freaking SJW woke?
You should reconsider your life choices, take a walk and think about what occupies your mind
