Matt, I tried to cut out your plans, three times, but my hands and brain do not work well together. What would you charge me to cut out the parts and mail them to me? I would gladly pay for the materials, time, and postage. Patrick Allsteadt, Clarkston , MI
Pat Allsteadt Pat...I would need $12.00 for the foam board, $20.00 for the labor, and whatever the postage will be for shipping to you from central Florida. I am guessing that would probably be in the range of about $5-10.00 as I would need a 32" long box to put the parts in. I will also need a week to do the work. my e-mail is circuitfxr@yahoo.com. contact me there and we can come to an arrangement. Matt

Hi there was hoping to get the plans for the RC Boat here but also was curious what you used to seal the bottom of the boat and make it nice and glossy :)
I used a clear polyurethane spray paint. It is made by Plastidip. This is the same material that is used to form rubber like grips on the handles of tools like pliers and side cutters. 2 coats gave me a complete seal and a glossy shine.
Mathew, Loved the detailed video and the Who-Doggy sailing. I'd like to make the model and will do if you can send me the plans. Also, what materials are need to make her RC capable. Thanks, Geoff
@@circuitfxr1 What batteries are you using in it? I tend to run heavier packs for my boat stuff if I can get away with it, just because pushing against water draws so much more power.
@@NikkiTheOtter I am using a standard 7.2v NiMh battery pack. A heavier battery would need a platform or support mechanism to avoid deforming the hull. Remember, this is foam board. Some people use lead acid batteries to give longer run time, but a good LiPo battery will do the same job and is much lighter. I am old school. The NiMh batteries are a good fit for me.
DEAR Matthew Autenrieb PLEASE GIVE ME RC BOAT PLAN. I WANT TO TRY (RC BOAT BUILDING). MY EMAILI IS PHOEPYING@GMAIL.COM THANKS AND BESTREGARDS MYAT THU LIN
Hi Matthew just watched videos fantastic, i am just getting in to boat modeling and i know this video is a few years old but do you know were i could get the plans from for it many thanks Paul .
I downloaded the plans from a hobby website. I don't remember the name of the site, but if you give me your e-mail addy, I will send you a PDF of the plans.
There are many ways to seal the hull. I used a spray on clear polyurethane paint. You can also use foam safe epoxy and some people like to use a slurry of white glue thinned with water. I find that spray on sealers are the easiest to use and give a good smooth coating. Always test your sealers and paints on a scrap piece of foam board before applying to your hull. Paints with a petroleum base will most likely eat the foam. I left the paper on my foam board and only needed to protect the exposed foam on the edges. The spray on poly works well, but the thinned white glue could be used for sealing the edges only. The paper protects the foam from most paints and will accept primer and finish coat directly. Applying the paint to the paper will raise the pulp and I recommend sanding with 400-600 grit sandpaper between coats to get a smooth finish. Remember to allow time for the sealer to dry completely before sanding. Hope this helps.
My apologies to all who are requesting the plans. I have misplaced the plans and am currently seeking through 1 terrabyte of files to find it. If and when I find the file I will begin sending it out. Thank you for your patience and understanding. These kind of things happen when upgrading your computer.

Great boat and video youtube presentation....but again.....take out the distracting music. If you add music....calm it down to match the beautiful calm spirit the boat has. :0) Just saying.
+Paul Randall “Randy” Hicks Thank you for your feedback. Due to the length of the video, I attempted to find uplifting music to avoid boredom and sleepiness. please feel free to mute the sound if you find it distracting.
