@@tendadeprastico Tech death is completely different in a lot of ways, listen to Between the Burried and Me, The Faceless, Necrophagist, Entheos, Fallujah -those bands and a lot others are on a different level compositionally and musicianship wise. Not to take anything away from Crypta, I really like what they do & they do it very well, it's a great blend of old school death metal with black metal & thrash elements. I don't think that they even consider themselves tech death. I think thier next record with Jess more involved in the writing process (they said that most of Shades of Sorrow was written prior to her joining) is going to be another big step up. I just thought the OP saying that "they're the most technical death metal band today by miles" was a pretty big reach. Just one person's opinion, so it doesn't really matter all that much. 🤘🤘

I have not been to a metal concert in years...This is interesting to watch...The things I noticed about current metal shows from the plethora of tour live videos I watched lately. Is now for some reason it seems to be a trend to leave the stage 'house lights' on at all times during a bands performance. That is weird to me,it kind of kills the whole atmosphere, leaving on normal overhead lighting the whole time overtop the lighting effects going on.Having the entire stage always lit up instead in darkness. Normally venues should be pitch black except for whatever lighting effects are flashing and washing out the stage with surrounded in darkness. Shows were always dark,taking video like this wouldn't be possible in such low lighting.The second thing that seems odd to me is seeing people just standing watching and not moving. That would never happen at a metal show prior to a few years ago. The entire crowd would be a sea of turbulence,battling like a scene from Braveheart.

You can even notice that it is much higher than the other monitors used by Jéssica and Tainá (on the side edges of the stage) precisely because it is positioned incorrectly. Well, maybe it's not wrong if the intention was to play the sound there in the middle. It's impossible to know what's going on in the minds of the technicians at the venue. =)
I will add to the previous comment. I just saw an Extreme (More than words) live show at Boston 2023 where there was an identical monitor pointed at the audience. In addition to the 2 monitors facing the musicians, there was this extra monitor sending sound to the audience. Generally, that area ends up having no sound, as the PA sends the sound a few rows of people further back. LOL
