I still see this game in arcades (Myrtle Beach, etc.) and always loved how hitting the ball with that weak-spring bat was like trying to hurt someone with a marshmallow.
My neighbor friend had one of these in his basement back in the day. Many years ago, I asked him about it. He said it broke a long time ago and they tossed it out. Ugh, back then it was not easy to find someone who could repair these things.
This brings back memories, when me/my late papa were pl'yng that game at Space Port l'ctn in King, Prussia Plaza, King, Prussia, Pa. back in mid-1970s when l was in my b'yhd
Not THAT far although since I'm in NJ, King of Prussia is closer. There's a big video gaming expo there every year called Too Many Games. This year it's at the end of June and I hope to be there.
Where I lived there was a machine like this in a bar that had a side door that was 5 feet away from the bowling alley side door .The bowling alley only had 1 pinball game and 2 space invaders games that had a line of kids . The bar owner ( rumor was he was mob type connected ) saw this and for three summers from 8 AM -1 PM You could go in the side door of the bar and one wall would be 8-10 of the latest games and 2 older games like this with a big sliding curtain blocking the rest of the bar . The bar only opened from 1:30PM -2 AM . Through the owners connections he operated an arcade in the morning and bar at night for three years . I don’t know how much money he made but there was never an empty machine . Even this old one was like a novelty Finally the bar closed because people invested in the bar were arrested on unrelated felonies.
Very fun. I remember similar style mechanical games that would actually spit out single baseball cards if you achieved a certain number of points.
Wow! Very cool! I've never seen or heard of that before.
I believe you are thinking of the 1991 game by Williams called slugfest.

Which arcades? That's pretty funny btw. :)
A true classic.

Wow what a crazy story! :)
I love those games.
A lot of people like them judging by how many people watched the last series of videos I did on these kinds of games...glad you enjoyed!
I have one working, I was wondering how much does that worth it. Thanks
I am not the expert on value of arcade games unfortunately, but it definitely depends on how good the condition is...
Nice machine! It's difficult to make the maintenance?
I'm sure it's extremely difficult, since it's hard to find people who know how to do it...
for sale?
Don't know - it's not mine...
