How many airlines in this video are in service. Seems I could probably only count it on one hand, some goes for aircraft type. God how things have changed. Too sad
Things have changed due to Ryanair, Easyjet, Eurowings, Wizzair, Transavia and more recently Norwegian. 20 years ago Tenerife it was 90% charters - 10% schedule. No its the other way, with most being low cost carriers. Incredible video, Twenty minutes of European aviation history, phenomenal !!

Well, we can still enjoy flight. Once I was able to fly in a jump seat from Ft. Lauderdale to Nassau, in a DC-3. That probably won't happen again.
I think the L-1011 is just the most beautifully-proportioned airframe; so nice to watch on landing.
The 757 is way more elegant. The L-1011 nose is way to short.
The Caledonian livery’s on the l1011s is just perfect
I landed here in 1965 on KLM DC 8 Daniel Denouille.
Seeing those L-1011's and Tupolevs is an absolute feast for a plane spotter, one which I sadly will never experience :/
