If every northern town gave a single flower to Jersey during the winters they had to bitterly exit their vehicles to pump gas, New Jersey would be a Garden…state😊 Don’t change a thing Jersey, let ‘em smell the roses.💐 -still a resident at heart
I filled my tank for $0.90/gal in Missouri. Empty to full for less than 15 bucks. No roses to give, I have real experiences that make sub-Newarkers seethe.
I live in Oregon, the Bill just passed and tbh I don't want to pump my own gas lol..I haven't had to fill up yet and, I honestly don't like the fact it's taking more jobs away in a struggling economy. I respect service workers in every market and people who even do it as a part time job to keep a roof over their heads. So we will see how it works out.
I visited oregon from the south in the 90’s and filled up my tank myself in a small town. The looks i got when going to pay baffled me for a long time till i was informed that this was illegal.
Yeah I drove through New Jersey and got a ticket for pumping gas I had no idea it was against the law I don't live in that state so I didn't pay that fool as ticket
Why aren’t there staff to do all these things for you? Here in Japan, as soon as you drive into a gas station, someone (more often two) comes out to clean your windscreen, pump your gas and help you as much as you can. Great part time jobs for youngsters or retired folk.
Great in the winter time to have someone pump the gas. Wait times in some gas stations are not bad, but if it was self service. People love to pump their gas and then leave the car parked at the gas pumps. Making many to wait a long time. Wawa is a prime place, by which this happens.
Honestly as a NJ resident I wouldn't care if I had to pump my own gas but it is nice having someone to do it even if it means I have to wait a little longer.
As a kid I lived in NJ from age 9 to 12. I wish wish wish I still lived there. Not only is it beautiful but you don't have self service. I've been driving 41 years & have always had to pump my own gas. I hate having my hands smell like gas!
One of my friends in NJ has a classic car. He will only go to stations that will allow him to pump his own gas. In the past he has had inattentive gas station attendants that allowed the gas to overfill (while they were busy with other cars) and had the gas spill onto his car.
This Jersey girl pumps her own gas cuz she no longer lives in Jersey lmbo. But yea when I go home I do t mind having gas pumped. There are times where I really wish I didn't have to get out of the car at the pump anyway 😂
I live in the Philippines and you don’t pump gas here either. I’d rather sit in the car with the a/c on high than get out and pump gas. Thailand is the same way full service only!
Grew up in Jersey, don't want to pump gas, thanks. In snow, rain ice, no thanks. What about handicapped drivers ? Every state should have a full serve option.
@@MrOiram46 maybe not that they don’t deserve to drive, but someone with paralysis or poor health would have as much difficulty operating a vehicle as they would a pump, if not more.
The State I hate in this great Country is BS NJ because of that pathetic NS 1949 policy and thank God I have a Hybrid Sienna so I can boycott BS NJ gas station
Say your entitled without saying ur entitled
WHAT?! Im born and raised in NJ and never heard a complaint. This is only unleaded tho diesels self serve
For the price of gas, They should bring it to your car.

The economy may be struggling, but there are plentiful jobs. People just don’t want to work.

I was always so curious about this! Thanks 🙏🏽
"Jersey girls don't pump gas"... *insert punchline!
Have they tried pumping petrol instead?
Here in Texas, it’s almost impossible to get air for your tires. The self-serve machines rarely work. I’d love a full service station!

Don't have to**
Gas is cheaper everywhere else. I never buy gas in NJ.
I don’t want to pump my own gas. Grew up in NJ, got my license there. Moved to PA in 94 & still go over to Jersey for my gas & booze.
Yeah Boy!
Can't imagine being too lazy to pump gas but willing to cross state lines. It's illogical.
I don’t want anyone not riding with me pumping my gas… it’s ridiculous.

Where cuz by law they can’t…
That’s bs the nozzle shuts off automatically and it’s mechanical so it can’t fail
Wow, just wow.....
My cousin by marriage was the first female to pump gas in the state back in the early 80s
