Tbh it seems all racing games that have boost kinda forces you to be good at drifting in general. This just takes it to the next lvl. I'll have to start practicing this next time i play
Your build and steering sensitivity also play a role in doing it. Like for example if you have a really grippy build - put drift tires on it and micro drifts will be a lot easier to perform.

@@SouveraineMiaa how was it "not intended" thats an assumption on your part, and it's not "clearly a development oversight" microdrifting has existed in nfs for YEARS now, not just unbound, if it was an exploit or glitch it would have been gone by now, just because smth gives a "unfair advantage" does not make it a "cheat, hack, glitch, exploit" or any other of the buzz words I hear often from people like you, "unfair" advantages are a part of gaming, and people complain about it so much these days when that's part of having a game with mechanics in it.
@@SAINTLUCIFER_WG exploit can just mean "fully utilizing" or "making use of and benefitting from something" so in the context of being a racing game where theres a good chance you'll have to either see videos of, play against other players microdrifting, or microdrift by accident to even understand what it is or that it exists, sure maybe there's a better word? But it's really not a stretch for someone to call it an exploit especially if they just learned about it, and the game lets you get a decent amount of wins before even imagining that microdrifting might become needed or exists at all, hence the 'meta', meaning top players will likely be microdrifting. I only just today properly noticed a high level player do it on like my 25th hour of online. But basically if you wanna argue that it is in fact an "unfair advantage" (fairness is kinda subjective) but also "not a development oversight", there's sorta no point in saying that it's not an exploit. At most you could argue that "trick" is a better word but who really cares to argue that when it's obviously weird/silly watching burst nitro increase from 'grip turns' and 'drifting' within the same second. Yes it's a fun arcade-y racing game with a decent skill ceiling but it would also be an assumption to say "if it was an exploit it would have been gone by now" or to imply whether or not it's part of the game's intended skill ceiling. Plenty competitive games' meta, including online PvP, fighting games, or even offline games or speedruns etc., are brimming with tricks or exploits developers either didn't intend, or didn't/couldn't account for the potential skill ceiling in the case of multiplayer
Interesting and informative been a fan of nfs since i played it on the SEGA lol but the way you turn brings me back to the URL races in Underground 2 very technical lol
@@crownsinz I never said its not how you are supposed to be fast??? can you read? I said it's not that hard, you don't need a whole tutorial for it, just steer lighter on your controller
