I watched MatPat when I was in my 20s. Now I'm in my mid 30s and my son watches it too! This man touched multiple generations with his amazing content and wish him the best in the next part of his journey. ❤

I never watched MatPat, but seeing your emotions over his leaving, touched me, because I can see that he made you part of the awesome person that you are now. MatPat has been a huge part of my life from helping find myself to helping me with the drive to conquer my dreams and I will always love him and I just want to say thank you MatPat for making the internet a safe place for all of us and you will always have a special place in all of our hearts ❤

The reason he kept saying "whip and nae nae" is because of a clip of him that exists in which he says and I quote "I JUST SIMULTANEOUSLY WHIPPED AND NAE NAED!!!"
MatPat was the very reason why I became a massive fan of Five Nights At Freddy's so I'm sad that he's leaveing but totally understand the reason why.

MatPat actually confirmed one of the theories that I had on Zelda wind waker. I knew it was mentioned somewhere in the game, but the "Link" in the game is not actually THE Link. He has no lineage to that line whatsoever. He only wears The iconic green uniform because it's a tradition passed down by that island in remembrance of Link. The only characters that have ties to the other games are Zelda and the King of Hyrule who you don't even know is the king until later in the game. But like you the video "Link Is Dead" might have been my first game Theory video too. MatPat is a national treasure in my book.
I saw the video the day after he posted it. It's the first time in a while a non-music-related UA-cam video has made me cry. I've watched MatPat every week for the better part of the past eight years of my life (I found him in 2015 through a Film Theorists video) and realizing he's one of many UA-camrs from my childhood who've announced retirement lately. It's an unfortunate inevitability that the big names like Pewdiepie, Markiplier, and Jacksepticeye follow suit and officially pass the torch onto the next generation of creators.
It was MatPat who was one of the main creators who first inspired me to start creating content of my own. It's really sad to see him go.

Hello, I have a personal request for you for a new song and it doesn’t have to be an immediate one but I personally would love for you to have this song on your channel. A song called “Kiss My Ashes goodbye”, it was made by a band named “Woods of Ypres” and it was mainly a one man band but sadly, it all ended when the lead singer, David Gold, was killed in an accident in 2011 and this song came out after his death. The song consists of 2 parts and is about 11 min long so look out for that version of the song when you try to find it and don’t forget to have the lyrics off to the side as you listen. Not rushing you to do this song but would appreciate you doing this song as there are very few videos with it, it very much fits with this channel
@MentalAmanda poor matt but i think he is making the right decision about stepping away from UA-cam if your Mental heath is not good then you need to step away from the internet i hope he gets the help he needs.

I love the theorist channels. My idol. He worked in his closet as Stephnie worked and paid the bills. He put himself thorugh so much he is 1 person that never gave up. He has my level of stupid but funny. I went to lehigh university wherr in 2012 they did a thing avout building a real full size operational death star. From starwars. I will miss Matpat. And steph. If it wasnt for matpat never giveing up i dont give up on my stuff. I do what i want. I got that from matpat and markiplier. Just do what makes you happy.
