Gotta say, this video had its surprises. You took the wheel of the forager, John took the wheel of the...bike. Anyway, people, you CANNOT leave the video without giving a like to that superb drone view.
What a great video loved the drone footage perfect music to go with it really enjoyed watching Thank you Josh looking forward to seeing more Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
Excellent video Josh! Great to see the crew trying some new experiences. Enjoyed watching the drone footage, and your raking and foraging experience. Best wishes for a great crop!
I have always thought that if I am ever blessed enough to get my farm, in addition to working cattle, mowing, raking and bailing would be my favorite jobs. I really can't say why. I certainly enjoys watching that stuff happen. Oops, looks like a candid shot of Craig squeezing the lemon.
Hi Josh great video I'll tell thee what you no how to put a good show on. Wife fascinated how you keep in straight lines 😂 what the tractor does it for him. But I said he's one he'll of a tractor 🚜 driver, great stuff Josh take care. 😊
Great video I am new to your channel. Is the farm yours or do you work there and whose is the forager I saw a vid with it in your barn also is it a beef or dairy farm or both ? Sorry so many questions just trying to catch up.
Thanks! It’s a research farm, none of us that work here are owners or anything! The forager belongs to CIEL and is based with us to use for our own silage. Suckler herd of stabilisers 👍🏼
@@JMFarming thank you that seems to be very interesting work. I worked on a farm 30 odd yrs ago before heading off to other things. I was a tractor driver using an 8200 a TW35 a John Deere 3130 also drove a loading shovel and we had our own self propelled new Holland forager which was relatively new at the time. We farmed about 300 acres and milked 250 Friesian and reared 150-200 bull beef
It's amazing that at the end of the season you can spread the most disgusting smelly stuff imaginable that makes all your neighbors for miles around your enemies. Yet in the summer when you harvest the sweetest smelling crop that that smelly stuff creates , no one thanks you for it.
Personally I love the smell of a good dung heap! But I’m in the minority there! No I agree, we are always in the way, making to much mess, or noise. Can never win. But everyone needs to eat!
@@brysigameplay I am aware, I was a herdsman for 9 years before working here. Just because it’s a different way of farming doesn’t mean it can’t still be called farming. It’s not all about who works the most hours! And just in case you were wondering, today is a weekend, and I’m at work. I’ll be at work next weekend too, because we can’t say to our cows, we won’t come and check you because it’s a weekend…
It still seems very much a badge of honour amongst some farmers that they have to compete to do more hours than their cohorts, its quite a British thing as far as I can see! A farmer I used to work for once said “I try to never complain about being a farmer, as no one has got a gun to my head to make me do it!”
