It's her cheat day and shes eating a home made meal honestly good for her I know the food isnt the healthiest but that's why it's called a cheat day and choosing to have a home cooked meal is better than buying fast food or take out. She even talked about how shes enjoying working out more. Shes doing awesome (:
Diederik jansen I see your point but I mean at least shes on a better path I think sometimes mean comments can be discouraging but I hope she has ppl in her real life to tell her Info just like you did. I think dieting takes a while to find what actually works for your body and i hope with time she learns and changes. She also has a eating disorder so dieting and excercise is a whole different challange than it is with someone who doesn't have an eating disorder. I think changing slowly is better for ppl with mental health disorders but I'm not an expert or a doctor this is just my opinion
Well, Im hoping it was a strictly a cheat meal. It shouldn't be a cheat day.
While your math is correct, the actual benefits of a 'treat meal' as I prefer to call them which is something Brittany Dawn a fitness model calls them (check out her channel) actually CAN increase your thermogensis i.e. your metabolism, decrease cortisol, restore other hormonal imbalances such as PMS when you're craving specific foods, increase happiness and therefore aid in better sleep and thus weight loss. It's how frequently and what you're eating that matters for your treatmeal. Also the percentage over your daily caloric intake to maintain is important as well and depends on her exercise regimen, and current calories she's eating. Because she has likely damaged her bodies ability to burn food efficiently she will likely have a lower caloric expenditure, however, if she is consistent in eating a whole foods diet (the total opposite of what she was eating) when her body adapts to that (which will vary with the individual but typically a 28 day cycle is normal and a typical cleansing cycle as well), having a 'treat meal' that is not what you typically eat to lose or maintain your weight is ideal. It will shake your body up a bit and get it kicking in high gear. I'm a very lean individual and whenever my fat loss goals stagnate I go and eat a high carb meal as I eat keto mostly. I start losing fat again and within 3 days have lost any retained water. I'm 6ft and 153 lbs. So for me who is already at a healthy weight it's much harder for me to loss more body fat. When you're already morbidly obese by body fat standards having a cheat meal and eating 6 days healthy won't make much of a difference to her unless her metabolism is SUPER shot from starvation. it will then take a while for her body to realize she's not in survival mode any more. She does have this tendency to starve herself. That''s bad. So really considering her dieting methods this meal will likely help her drop a crap ton of water weight in the next week or so. Will it help with fat loss, no, but will it undo her, if she has another, and another, and another. Yes. Then it will. She needs to go back to healthy eating and have this been something that is introduced every week to two weeks and when she's at a healthier weight, but not as lean as maybe she wants, her body may start resisting change and she'll need to reduce or introduce refeed days. This rant aside, I've done a lot of research on this topic as I do have an eating disorder and body dysmorphism. Math is one thing, but really it's the individual case by case basis. Trish derives pleasure from food, so this will help her mental state and help her be more consistent.

Yana Umerenko Haha! People would be surprised to know how much the foods we grow up eating effect our taste pallet. My boyfriend always puts salt on everything, and likes his food crispy aka burnt. Whenever he considers food to taste good, it tastes like shit to me. The great thing about this is that he loves my food, and loves when I burn it. 😂

My mom cooked like that. Fatty balls of meat with no seasoning and just a side of pickle chips. Microwaved spaghetti sauce and water. But I learned from that.
