Tanner is rumored to be going to Dodgers. Why did these guys not even mention the ownership fight within the Padres organization? This has to be a consideration for Sasaki.
At this point anyone who still says padres prove to me they know nothing about Roki and they’re just guessing or they just don’t want him to go do the dodgers. Even Sheel knows padres are not signing roki and is why she decided to finally drop the lawsuit.
@@phigher1you dodgers fans need to relax it’s not a 2 team race I know you guys think that you’re gonna get everyone under the sun but Sasaki is a special case , if it was between the dodgers and padres , and he doesn’t want to be a padre because of the whole lawsuit why hasn’t he signed with the dodgers yet? Bold prediction: Alonso doesn't get the context he's looking for, signs a 1 year deal with the Reds, where he leads the league in home runs and RBI's, paving the way for a big deal next off-season.
I’d love for the Sox to get Scott but I don’t think they want to spend any money. It’d be nice if they traded for Arenado to fix their infield defense but who knows?
I'd like to see the Phillies get creative with a Hoffman contract. Something like a $10M signing bonus, $9M per season for four years, plus a 5th year team option for $10M or a buyout of $4M. That's a four year/$50M deal...
Blue Jays trade Bichette for Castillo, but first they extend Vladdy then add Bregman and Santander. Crazy I know, but if they can't sign Vladdy to an extension, nobody takes their money.
Boston's questions up the middle might be short lived with Mayer and Campbell coming soon. Assuming neither is traded. Signing Kim doesnt really complicate that too much, but Id rather see him elsewhere.
So Roki Sasaki is okay with his name being used in a lawsuit filed in Austin Texas? I thought he didn’t like media attention? Why would he come to SD with ownership litigation? Please explain further guys. You are aware of what’s going on in SD right?

I don't buy Sasaki to the Dodgers or Padres. If Sasaki was the kind of guy who wanted to take the easy route he would have stayed in Japan two more years. The Padres have one of the most doubtful futures going forward with financial troubles, a bunch of bad contracts on the books, and an active lawsuit for control of the team.
It's between Padres, Dodgers, SF and Seattle because of west coast proximity to Japan but also a few of those teams are mostly capable. top three is Padres, Dodgers and SF. The Padres are having a rocky time right now because of that lawsuit and potentially having their team sold. So it's pretty much between Dodgers and Giants. So I see Sasaki going Dodgers. Now, this is assuming Sasaki is taking his time choosing and researching. This dude pushed to be posted about two years ago and not waiting to be 25 years old, so I think he already chose his team at that time. I see him as a Dodger unless the new changes in Los Angeles makes him change his mind. If Profar and Ha-Seong Kim are leaving Padres, why would Sasaki go to that team? Wouldn't he want to keep his stats and wins up by being in a team that has a lot of offense?
Please let Arenado go to Boston. He’s only slightly above average now and would improve the Orioles chances of finishing ahead of them. I know he’s still under contract through 2027 but 2025 is more of a prove-it season for whether or not he’s still a star or just a solid starter nowadays.
@Foul Territory The sheer idiocy of giving a R-R 1bman turning 30 who was only a 2.1 fWAR player in 2024 a one year deal with a high AAV *and* player opt-out is almost impressive. You lot aren't even pretending to think. The Mets are *_not_* signing Alonso to a long deal because of the extreme likelihood of speedy decline---so you want to LOCK IN THAT DECLINE by giving him player opt-outs?
Fastest flight time from St. Louis to Japan: 17hrs w/ a layover Fastest flight time from LAX to Japan: 12hrs, Non-stop. St. Louis is re-tooling their roster - letting Gold Schmidt go, willing to trade Arenado. Their starting rotation is in the bottom half of MLB. If the Yankees can turn an off-season that began with a Juan Soto rejection into Max Fried, Cody Bellinger, Paul Goldschmidt, Devin Williams and, eventually, Ha-Seong Kim? That’s a gigantic “win.”
No the Mariners owners are not broke and don’t owe a lot of money….. they are cheapskates and don’t care about the team. They don’t care about sports/baseball.
