I used to have two cats that did this on the normal door knobs, the round ones that you can't jump up to hang on. One of them would climb up on the chair next to the door and turn the knob while the other one would stick his paw under the door to pull it open

@anonymousperson6462 Yeah but if they do, 9 times out of 10 they're trained to do it. They don't actually understand that it's a mechanism that opens the door.
My cat also TAUGHT HIMSELF, unprompted, how to play catch and retrieve. Which is something that can take weeks of training for a dog. Cats are waaaaaaaay more clever than dogs and it's plainly obvious.

My cat makes me laugh/smile when he knows I’m going into the hallway to go to my room he will run to one door and then to the next door(which door is it mommy) then jump on the doorknobs and try to hang onto it😺😸

I have a cat i named luffy(after the anime character since I was young at the time) learned to open the front door and we started locking it from now on, doesn't open any others nor does he leave the house, just startes outside when he opens the front door
