The questionable sign-stealer (Stalions) has not been with the program since after the Indiana game. Michigan didn’t need any extra to defeat the most difficult stretch of their schedule, and played most of those without Harbaugh on the sidelines. They will give it their best on Monday, and a good majority of the commenters here will go in to hiding.

Despite Alabama's mystique and Saban's coaching abilities. I still think Michigan is the better team.
Michigan plays to win and they don't need to particularly rely on any one thing in order to do so.
I love Joel's analysis but sometimes I think he has too many irons in the fire to truly be objective. Almost like a politician he has to think of his wide fan base he's built up through his media outlets which seems to affect his opinions at times.
I. E. he seems to be constantly grooming his comments according to how they might be received by his fan base.

Over the last 3 years from today Georgia still has been the best team. Michigan is unquestionably #2. So Bama is the underdog they have been.

Until Jim Harbaugh actually beats a team with a pulse, I'll believe it then. Ohio State is a shell of what they were and Penn State is a joke. James Franklin and Penn State are going nowhere. They'll win 10 games per year and lose two on average, and that'll be that. Actually, Penn State will lose more now that the B10 is expanding.

I am totally shocked that Joel picked Alabama. Not! Both he and Gus are totally biased against Michigan. If anything has come through, in watching them announce Michigan games, it is this. Hopefully, it will turn out the same way it did during their broadcast of the OSU game with the "World Famous Buckeyes" and "Maserati Marv". Georgia’s defense and both lines have been banged up and not good all season. Alabama is acting like they dominated the Georgia lines of the last two years which isn’t accurate. These Georgia lines compared to those were night and day. Alabama also were gifted a free first down on 4th & 4. Georgia gave Alabama two turnovers and they refs gave them a
4th & 4, and Alabama only beat Georgia by three. Alabama didn’t dominate Georgia like everyone is saying. Georgia’s ground defense was good this season but not elite.
Georgia needed to win this game offensively Bowers and Ladd were too banged up to create separation and Georgia also was missing Lovett made their offense much easier to defend if Georgia is completely healthy I think they would of beat Alabama.

The ball is allowed to hit the ground as long as the player doesn't lose control of the ball. I personally think he maintained possession and never lost control even though the ball touched the ground. Learn the rules.

I can’t disagree with your reasoning, but you cut me deep Mr. Klatt. I do think you left out one important factor for Michigan, ZZ’s replacement will now have a month of 1st team snaps and not a week. While his replacement might not be equal to having ZZ in the game, he certainly will be better than he was against Iowa. Sherrone Moore is an exceptional O-Line coach and I think the results may surprise you.

If Harbaugh “doesn’t want to be the story” why doesn’t he squash NFL rumors? I’m tired of this BS. No other coach is playing this silly game. If I were the UM administration I would set a deadline for Harbaugh to accept or reject a contract.
Trust me when i say Coach Harbaugh is focusing on Michigan vs Alabama. As is JJ McCarthy. 💯 % focus. Their is nothing more important. He will be at Michigan. Coach Harbaugh has said "i will be at Michigan as long as they will have me." Coach Harbaugh has buildt Michigan as the number one team in the country. Everyone is focused on the contract. Let's not forget before he told his whole staff to pull off the biggest cheating scandal in college sports, the school was on the brink of firing him 3 seasons in a row. It's all a PR move. The school wants it to seem like they believe he's innocent and plan to keep him. Once he gets pounded by Alabama and the NCAA throws bug bombs in his office, he'll run off to the NFL before UM gets the death penalty. He's been abysmal at every stop of his coaching journey. If Alabama wins this game, it will not be about wearing out Michigan's defense. One of the reasons that Michigan has been able to dominate is that they rotate defensive lineman and linebackers throughout the game. A lot has been written about how few snaps even the top players have played because of the depth and constant rotation. If the game is close into the fourth quarter, I think the circumstances will benefit Michigan more.
