I love making packages pretty to the theme of the item, I love that it makes you happy. I also came into an entire bin of ribbons and I color code the ribbons to the item I sold.
Thank you Mellissa. I’ve had so much fun going thru my box of polys and tissue paper. You put so much into your packages and it’s appreciated. I had the best time looking thru it all. Love your videos so much. Glad you’re back!
Oh my gosh Melissa, I thought I was the only person who struggled with getting in the shower..lol. I have such fatigue and can't walk without pain that I know is alot of it, but I was embarrassed to say I don't like to shower 😂 I think your right though, it's all the steps before and after ..once it's done though It's great! ❤ of course..lol 😊 Thanks for your videos! I love them! Also, thank you for your beautiful.Wrapping, the tissue paper, the ribbon.Everything's just so pretty❤
Thanks for sharing! All those steps...ugh. It is the best when it is done though; you are right! I think there are more people out there than we realize who truly don't like showering. (Or the getting in part at least.)
Apparently there are a lot of us dealing with pain and fatigue - we need our own support group! Hope everyone feels better - the sun is out here in East Texas for a change which helps me. When the barometric pressure is above 30, I can function somewhat better!
Oh Melissa, you perfectly explained how I am about not liking to do things. I have such dread doing some things especially where it comes to caring of my hubby who has advanced Parkinson’s and dementia. I may hate doing these things but I force myself to. ❤ you.
Sending all of my love to you Sandy. Caring for your husband...amazing and hard and overwhelming and all of the emotions. I'm thinking you must be exhausted 100% of the time. Love you!
Aw yay! My order was packed on video! I bought the double stack rings around the 1 hour and 5 minute mark. You said my name right the first time (hay-lee) but I don’t mind whatever way it’s pronounced or spelled. Thank you for the beautiful packaging and mentioning me!❤️
I wish you and your mom would’ve had planned a meet up while you’re in Orlando together. That would’ve been fun to meet you both! I live in Lake Nona (Orlando) by the airport and it’s not too crazy here with tourism. We’re close enough [25 minutes to any of the Parks] but just far enough away to be out of the spotlight. I too, moved from PA to FL ten years ago and so happy to call it home. We really have it all down here. So happy to see you’re doing well and getting in the swing of videos again. All the best. K
Wouldn't that have been fun? We weren't there for long. We only had from Wednesday afternoon until Thursday night and drove home Thursday, as he needed to work on Friday. We had a great time. We swam lots, ate, took a few naps, and just hung around and chatted a ton. It was fun!
Oh Mellissa I totally get the shower thing...when my pain is extreme from my fibro and rheumatoid, I have a tendency to pass out if I get overheated...(vasovagal syncope) - which sometimes happens in the shower. I keep a shower chair in there just in case I need to sit down. Even on good days, I just hate to go through taking a shower - Granted I always feel better afterward so I make myself take showers, but it just a big pain in the butt! LOL. I remember my mom saying the same thing and I just couldn't imagine what the big deal was LOL now I know.
I always feel better after as well! So odd. My husband has vasovagal syncopes but thankfully not when it comes to showers (his is if he hears a medical story or is physically hurt) so I have seen him black out and needed to catch him on occasion. Yikes. I am sorry you struggle with it. Just know that there are others like us and I appreciate your sharing! Love you :)
@@freshbloominclothing you are so sweet to respond - I follow you as easystreetcollectibles everywhere else - been selling since 2001; love watching you and your mom - My mom passed away in '06 and I miss her every day. She always got a kick out of what people would actually buy and sell on ebay. Last week I sold some old florist flower frogs (the kind with the sharp pins sticking up) I actually live in my childhood home that we moved into when I was 9 - (67 now) found the flower frogs out in the garage when cleaning and straightening last week and my husband said "shall I throw these away" - of course I pulled out my phone and ran comps LOLOL - heck no - they sold overnight for $42 - mom is LOL in heaven right now. Re Hot Room ❤ My inlaws use to have canvas or a nice awning Fabric attached to Poles ? The poles were a rounded thicker than broom handle stick, they'd unroll the fabric & drop the poles in the house gutter. Shading the windows to keep the house cooler, at end of summer they'd roll up & store them for winter. Our hot South Australian summer heat is like sticking your head in the oven. When we built I did the same thing only with black shade cloth, till we put back veranda up & air con in.. Its like covering your car windscreen when you park to keep the Sun off the glass keeping car cooler. All the best to you both Sue x
This is quite interesting. So they put the fabric on the outside? I'm not sure our community will allow this but I can check. This sounds like a wonderful idea. You are correct about the oven.
Hi Melissa, about the box. Sometimes I get plastic mailers and they’re really dirty. A box just might be a personal preference and that’s okay you just gotta do it just like your cards say. 😉
I will absolutely look up the Swedish version. The UK version features a man called Fred, who is a Swede, and they use him on a few tasks. He is great. I wonder if he will be used on the Swedish version now! Thanks!
If you went to the PO and purchased the shipping, it would be about $5.00, so I still would charge just a bit more for shipping when creating a new listing.
Thanks! Someone else mentioned this. I actually called "my" window guy to see what he recommends. I think Bare and I could do that though. Thank you!!!
About the box, I once ordered several pieces of vintage clothing and it was shoved so tightly into the polymailer it split, of corse it wasn’t in a bag inside, the clothing was exposed and to mark it worse while trying to cut the tape off I cut the clothes trying to open the bag, this has happened a few times.
Great idea. I will see how long they are as our shorter side is about 120"+ and the longer side must be about 15'. But it could work for at least the shorter side.
I've had the same issue in the past with a package going back and forth repeatedly between my original post office, two USPS regional sort centers and the PO of the wrong destination that had nothing to do with the actual destination. Initially I found it baffling. When I started comparing the problem between the correct destination and the wrong destination, I noticed the zip code was the same except one digit. If I recall correctly it was the first or last digit of the zip code that was being misread as the destination zip code. I contacted my local USPS location and was able to have it intercepted by watching when it should hit my local PO. The day before it was supposed to arrive I called them, explained what I believed was going on, they checked into it and were able to place something in their system that would flag it so they could pull it and fix it. I hope that helps! 😊
Oooo. Thank you for sharing that knowledge. I'm going to tuck away the knowledge of the zip code being one digit from another destination away in my brain for next time this happens. Thanks!
Hi Mellissa…you mentioned that your community has an active FB page, maybe put the question about covering the windows out to them. Chances are, most everyone has some kind of lanai there. Oh, and I use the Intuition razor and never cut myself anymore!! Have fun in Orlando with your Mom and Roger!!
Good idea! I will ask others what they are doing! And thank you for the razor. I currently have a Harry's subscription that is paused, as I have a ton of cartridges. So once those run out, I might try the Intuition.
I think if you could do the A/C it would help with the extreme heat and humidity you get there and you probably have even more heat intolerance like I do with the CRPS/RSD and FIbromyalgia and I was thinking if you guys can afford the AC it might also thru the many years ahead give you and Bare another place to sit and enjoy being but I know its expensive. I was going to say maybe a couple of portable stand up AC's but it sounds like that might not cool it enough quick enough unless you ran them several hours each day. Mine didn't raise my electric bill much but everyplace is different. I hope you can get what will benefit you both the most ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks! It would add more places to sit but, honestly, we already have a good many to sit. I know you are right about the CRPS and the A/C. Once our AC needs replaced, we will price it again then. Currently it is only storage and I really try to pull items in the morning or at night when the sun isn't out. I appreciate you Cynthia! Thank you so much for chiming in :)

Those are definitely frogs. Look up Kerropi (or Keroppi, I cant remember how it’s spelled) by Sanrio. He is a friend of Hello Kitty. This is just a guess but I’m wondering if your pajama buyer had a bad experience, pre-Ground Advantage, of a seller cramming their purchase in a Flat Rate Priority padded bag and it arriving as a wrinkled mess.
Kerropi! You nailed it! It looks so similar to the poly mailers. And thank you for chiming in. That makes sense. They haven't left me feedback yet (and maybe never will) so I hope the box was okay.
I think it is almost always cheaper to go Ground Advantage for 1-2 pounds. However, I'm in FL so if I send to Alaska (or Hawaii, or even CA), it is going quite far. 3+ pounds might be cheaper in a flat rate priority padded mailer. I try to check almost any time I have larger items. If you live in the middle of the country, it might not matter too much though :)
In my experience boxes are less likely to be damaged really bad in transit than those plastic bags so maybe she has had bad experience with ripped open bags or something like that. Or maybe she just really wants a box for her box fort....who even knows haha!
Box fort made me crack up. I love that idea! Thank you SO much for helping me learn Crystal. Seriously, my brain couldn't come up with anything. Love you!
I always enjoy your videos Mellissa. But I found the camera angle of this one was difficult to watch, things seemed out of perspective. Did anyone else notice this? Enjoy your trip away. 😊
My buyers are mostly repeat buyers and I have built my business buy packing my items this way. I have never had anything returned because of the packaging and you can see from my feedback that it is well liked. I have also built my youtube channel (and supplies website) from this concept. Not everyone needs to do this and I never except another seller to wrap my items. But I truly love doing it.
As a customer I can say it’s a highlight of my day to open one of Mellissa’s packages. She puts so much of herself into each one. I have an order on my table that I’m saving to open tomorrow when I can take my time with it. All that to say yes to all the “foo foo wrap” she does. It will brighten your day for sure.
