That’s why I think having online booking or Responsibid that connects to your CRM is important. When I’m busy, sometimes I can’t answer every phone call and I don’t have an office person.
Great video i A second could learn that language when I talk to the customer over the phone I know one thing we don’t have storm windows in California lol
We do phone bids too. The fear is underbidding but once you consider the time commitment of driving to say 30 quotes per month (averaging an hour each time) then who cares if you underbid 3% of the time. You'll probably overbid just as many as you underbid.
My rule of thumb for over the phone quotes is don't. If they demand it then they are the type of customer that wants the cheapest price and you should never be that guy. By doing the bid in person you not only can bid it correctly but if you're any good at sales then you're far more likely to get the bid. Also, you can spot whatever services you can upsell and tie that into the bid. If you give tiered pricing on a package of services then you give the customer more choices and make yourself more money in the long run.
i respectfully disagree 100%. BUT that is the awesome thing about having a business! you can run it anyway you see best! Thanks for watching tho! ~Jersey 862-312-2026
I had a very easy over the phone quote system. I told them to count the windows and ill say "ok based on your info it would be x but please keep in mind this is all remote when i get there to do the job the price may go up $100 if the window count is inaccurate or level of dirt. This rarely happens but just incase i wanted you to keep it in mind" done and scheduled. I never had to raise the price or been wrong that i "lost" money on the job.95% of my job quotes were remote. Unless they have a bunch of french or multiple stories. Its not rocket science. Alot of these guys over complicate it.
