Hmm....think I'd have done two or three boards top to bottom then the header and bottom. Nice to see you taking your time and making a job instead of going at turbo speed on site
Good one! Everything I could have thought that needed to be known well covered bar the you beaut glossing brush but one can gloss with any good brush suitable for glossing at the end of the day. Good colour? How dies one get that out of the brush when the next door is white?
Good info for uk weather conditions. Not my choice of colour but finish looks great. Prefer your no more house bashing vids. Keep up the entertaining delivery. All the best Pete
Thas done that wrong pal,do inside panels first top to bottom, top panel, bottom panel, seen a gaffer fuck a £1800 door up doing it that way, get some gear on pal, bit a tit in it
Great finish.. I'm planning to paint all my wooden windows and doors. Been giving Sandtex Flexible Primer Undercoat Gray Is this stuff any good? Because I'm using this undercoat do I have to use gloss finish coat? Or can I use satin finish coat? This under coat is really thick and shiny any thoughts appreciate it.
We never did any outside painting in winter our season was may to end of September maybe very early October but never in December. We were at it for 40 years. Nice clean job though
I usually do two or three full lengths at a time but whatever suits as long as you don't get the drag. I never add turps to gloss, persevere with it but sometimes a little helps depending on weather if it's cold or windy. Also, the bar hole when you take the handle off often has black sooty residue so good to dust it out and wipe with a turps rag if need be.
😂 fair play candle man! I've glossed once before at sub 9oC and my gloss work looked like eggshell the morning after. Just be sure to make everyone aware if they're glossing close to evening due they risk turning gloss into eggshell.
It be even worse now the new 2010 voc oil based gloss hardly dries. This is another reason l use Johnstones Aqua gloss and the proper Aqua undercoat. Few quid dearer but dries to a nice sheen. 80pc oil gloss l would say. No runs and can close the door at night, even get it undercoat and gloss on 1 day if you lucky. Fire over the gloss again if have the time for a better finish it not take long.
You can buy a glosser mini roller from dulux which is perfect for applying gloss.. angle the roller at 45 degrees to get into the grooves and lay it off with the brush. If you're only doing 1 or 2 doors, there's no point busting open a new roller. 👍

you could do with a bigger bucket.

I personally liked the flat black🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Best to use a door wedge to stop door moving.

Looks like a door to a Thai knocking shop.........
The candleman would know 😉
Seeker of truth and justice at 9.40 the door was swinging away tapping the wall in the same manner! Would’ve driven me insane!!!!

You must be the only painter in the world who does not thin his paint you do realize paint is made thicker so it can be thinned
Best way is to heat the paint up and keep it in a bucket of hot water
How long does the paint dryer take off normal drying time.

Not sure really but it does speed it up a little bit, I only use it if there’s a chance it might spot rain🕯🚬☕️
Like ur Style Candleman !!! Brothers of the bleedin Brush !!!
Cracking job again mate 👍
Looks alright from my house, good job candles 👍
The owners of that house must have more money than sense to have the exterior painted in the depths of winter.
Nice shine on that Candle, Happy Christmas to you

All the best and merry Christmas 🎄 🎄
The underneath of that weather board is ultra important to the lifetime of that work, should have used a roller to make sure it was well coated
candle man how about when you open door from inside? you see that edge that you say don't need painting when opening door from outside..😁😎
Wow no smudges... 😎
candle why don't you take the door of the hinge and paint? isn't the hinge part of the furniture 😉😆
Nice job.
Your remind me of the romanian, Two doors.
i need to use bigger paint kettles lots of dipping room like it !
My birds got a bit of sag in it.

enjoyed the video merry xmas
Merry Xmas Mark👍
I use penatrol if the exterior gloss isn't flowing well.
50/50 blo/turps works too
that paint kettels to small
Are you still milking this outside?
Nice work though
USA dosen't have any gloss paint
How to gloss AN exterior wooden door
Why the hell has he stopped half way down each door pannel! That edge is going off all the time!
Not with oil
Happy Christmas
Your only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!!!
I'd have that painted in 2 minutes to be honest
What I don’t understand you roll your interior doors but brush your exterior doors get a microfiber on it your making a meal of it to the amateurs!
Hold your paint kettle. DONT put it on the floor, its only a matter of time till a passer by or numpty apprentice kicks it to buggery.
👍👍👍🇬🇧
You don’t need turps in it if you roll it !
