Gorgeous bags! I have the exact same bag as you, the reverse Pochette Metis and I have had absolutely zero issues with the quality too. It’s one of my favourite bags and it’s so well constructed I just love it! I am now eyeing the Bologne in black like yours too because of the straps it comes with, I think they can also be used on other LV pieces especially the reverse Pochette Metis cus they share basically the same colour scheme! This is a great alternative and better option to the multi Pochette which I had such an issue with the design how you cannot attach the gold chain to anything but the small pouch - terrible limited use while this design is far more practical and gives total freedom.

Thank you for a great discussion of these bags. I have the original Pochette Métis, but prefer yours. The vachetta leather on the handle of mine and the little tab on the lock have become somewhat water stained. Still, it is one of the most used bags in my small collection. Do you have any Chanel bags?
Yes i do - and i tend to wear the Chanels much more in winter as they seem dressier to me. I love all styles of the Pochette Metis ❤️- i believe our bags are made to be worn and enjoyed 🥰🥰🥰
Wipe down your vachetta with a damp e-cloth or magic eraser very lightly but firmly and evenly and while it’s still damp add cornstarch to the water spots and let sit for 2 days and then wipe down again with a conditioning leather wipe that has beeswax in it and massage with 2 coats of coconut oil. You should always treat your vachetta for an even patina and this will always weather proof your bag too. Vachetta is just as worry free as any other leather but people just aren’t treating their leather properly. Repeat this treatment periodically and you’ll have worry free and even patina. Enjoy and use your bags.
@@idylledoll great advice! Didn’t know coconut oil worked too! I use a high quality saddle soap and conditioner routine on my older bags and it keeps the vachetta clean, even and supple.
I jus got this bag. But find it odd that the lining isn’t stitched into the canvas in the bottom of the bag. I feel because it feels like you lose room on the bottom and sides. Does yours do that? I am wondering if it is a defect. Trying to love this bag but the lining is really bugging me.
Hi - I hadn’t realised it wasn’t stitched down until you pointed it out as mine fits so snugly and it was actually hard to lift it up. Maybe yours isn’t right - i always think if you have any doubts at all you should return it - they are too much money to be unhappy or even unsure. Good luck with your decision! ☘️☘️☘️

Agree with all you say - i love the Boulogne - it is so easy to wear and so light and slips under your arm just like the Prada re-edition. 🥰👌🥰

Is the Louis Vuitton Boulogne light weight everyday bag ???
Yes its perfect as a lightweight everyday bag - weighs much less than pochette metis - 250g to 400g depending on whether or not you use the chain.

Just but you can’t close the zip comfortably - the bag dips too much really - but that’s what gives it its lovely shape. 🌸
