My father owned one of these in the past. It was in all original condition, and interesting thing is that he got it for free from the 1st owner. Too bad we did not have a garage or place to keep it, so we were forced to sell it a few years ago, since it was just deteriorating on the street. I still wonder where it went, since it was in a great condition, and bringing it to factory state was not a problem in any way here. Last thing I know that buyer was from Hungary, though. I just hope it's in better hands today 👍
This vw needs better wheels OR it needs the wide fender treatment, a mild fender flare, very mild, just enough to clear the wheel/tire set up. Otherwise, I like the restore treatment and a very big thank you for the sharing this vlog.

Have "narrower" wheels. Theyre too wide anyway.
wheels sticking out from the guards are not legal in most countries. this are the coolest model for me.

15 inch, 8J with et20 offset, have 5x205 to 4x100 adapters, they're are 30mm thick.
