: We are not sure what exploits are referring to. But if the players want to exploit the game and break things because they think it's fun, then that's ok. It's their choice, as long as they are having a good time.
my point is that this glitch has the potential to break your worlds, although it is VERY rare to happen and this glitch already is rather hard to execute by pure accident... there is a lot of cool things this glitch allows that we are yet to show btw, such as antigravity stuff (!!) so it would be really cool if it stayed!

@@TheDartFrog how do you do make the antigravity stay? Attach it to the ground then put a stabilization glitch, and remove it?

I found a weird side effect that happens if you do it wrong...
Set it up as normal right until you break the block. Delete the second L furthest from the stump so it's just a big l, then delete the part attached to the stump and reattach it. The block is spawned inside the stump and the stump grows big and rises out the ground? I can't seem to replicate it but maybe you will have better luck..

for those who wanna know, still works in august 2023, just need to get the right tree. also, i find it easier to try it in survival, in creative i tried several trees and didn't got any
careful when doing this. I have now a skyscraper of block near my main base, too much block to remove, lol.
i really didnt think a block or part duplication glitch would ever be possible in survival

a tree by my new base works for this! it still works!! also the devs said in chapter 2 some of the warehouse stuff will be harvestable so that mesh stuff will be easier. you get a sub just for this

the entire second 'stick' technically! it doesn't actually have to go *under*ground, just has to be attached to the ground! :D

Yeah when i tried to continue with building my base the blocks i placed on the ground where higher and slightly rotated and wherent snapping to the old blocks

my theory is that it's because of the game doing maths to combine 2 separate pieces of blocks into 1, but because one is at an angle and the game doesn't expect 2 ground pieces to be welded to the ground at different angles, this happens
also the oddly specific number comes from an actual dupe I did once lol, it's large enough the blueprint often crashes your computer if you click on it in the lift

It doesnt seem to work for me (im pretty sure im doing what u said) and i tried over 20 trees in my creative world
also i have over 1k hours in the game so im not clueless
sometimes you get unlucky with the stumps many times in a row, keep trying different ones or the ones I've shown in the video in survival 👍
@@TheDartFrog I ended up trying the ones that you showd in the video in a survival world with dev commands (just to make it 10% easier). It works!

not sure, but we think it's because of the blocks being offgrid and the game trying to combine 2 offgrid objects together
@@TheDartFrog Wacky, if you connect the offgrid blocks with the normal grid of blocks it seems to realign itself if its not connected to the initial stump.
Edit: disconnecting it seems to have destroyed my world.

same way as with other parts: scales them up until you relog, but doesn't dupe them
does this work in custom games
if the custom game has trees that are rotated at funky angles like that, then yes!

@@thechlebek901 if I remember correctly from me goofing around when we were working on the mod, I think there may have been a tree on the ranger station island that worked, you could check there if you haven't yet!
