    I will definitely use these exercises for my painful hip bursitis. I also have switched to a higher protein low carb diet to help with any inflammation. This has helped tremendously. Walking with my toe striking/landing first is a wonderful way to relieve any residual pain on those days when I am having more inflammation. I dream of the day when this is healed completely. I had to previously use a walker and wheelchair at times but now can do most of my usual activities with minimal pain. Love this channel!

    Please please, encourage people with long term "bursitis " to be evaluated for a torn gluteus medius. Diagnostically looks so much like bursitis. But you keep getting worse. By the time I had my surgery this April, the surgeon said I had probably had a tear for 5-8 years. Hence I had atrophied tissue. I am doing better,( post surgery) but I will never have full strength because of the trophies tissue. Biggest cohort is women from 50 to 75. I am 70. It does requir an MRI for diagnosis. Hope this helps someone

      I has two tears shown from on mri and they recommended a cortisone shot for bursitis even after that.

    • @maryequilter31
      @maryequilter31 4 місяці тому

      @@rosefarr2748 That is so frustrating. I react well to cortisone for other issues but not this. I will tell you it is a long recovery -1 year- with rigorous PT, but 3 months in for me, very worth it. They repaired my gluteus medius( tear was even more severe when they got in there than MRI showed) gluteus minimus -medium tear and they removed my bursa . Try another orthopedic surgeon perhaps? But be sure this is a surgery they regularly do and are affiliated with a PT group that understands the detailed protocol for recovery. I’m in RI, and lucky to have had one of the best surgeons for this procedure.

    Tysm for this! I fractured my pelvis on the left side in a traffic accident when I was 36 & developed bursitis in my left hip from walking without engaging my groin area due to the pain & tightness in my pelvis. Although it’s been over 15 years since then I still occasionally have issues with bursitis in my hip, mainly in winter so these exercises should help a lot. Much appreciated.

    I’ve had bursitis off and on for years due to my EDS so I always appreciate good bursitis exercises.
    Found the last exercise particularly interesting. You said that walking on tiptoes takes the pressure off joints. Many in my family regularly walk on tiptoe. Many of us also have EDS. Wonder how many of us were intuitively doing it to make our poor, aching joints feel better.

    I had hip bursitis really bad that hurt mostly at night. then I cut out the center part out of my mattress topper which relieved that pressure point. Now because of rigorous cardiac rehab it's back again. I thought it was because of increased walking (more than my usual 5-6 miles per week). I do child pose I will add that table top pose. Good luck to all.

    I’ve had issues with my right hip but it’s improving,my problem now is I’m 69 and work part time for FedEx ground and to hookup double trailers with a dolly that weighs about 2000 Ibs
    About 5 weeks ago I was moving a dolly to a trailer and felt some give on the left side of my collarbone. It hurt but nothing crazy. Ever since when I reach for something with my left there is what I call a popping or a clicking noise or feeling. I’ve been to a chiropractor and he’s not sure what it is. It doesn’t hurt terrible but it very uncomfortable. Any idea what it is or what to do to correct. I’m restoring an antique truck and this is making it tough to work on it
