the thing about the reaction to this pod is interesting to me. i'm a grown ass woman, i've been around dudes in my life, i'm not really into bros broing out, so if i'm going to spend my time listening to two men shooting the shit i think i'm pretty discerning about it. but there's substance and nuance here that i enjoy. you guys have a really fun chemistry. i suspect i like it for different reasons than the expected demographic does. i don't really think of myself as a "fan". it's like being in the room with two really funny friends. i've been around punks my whole life, i've sat in a lot of sketchy living rooms with grimy dudes. i mean i don't love absolutely every single second of it. but i'm here for the ride. i hope you'll keep doing it even though it's not bringing in money.
We LOVE the show!! Art, film, food, comedy?? K.O.!! We didnt even know Matty was a chef until we started the poddy!! We thought he was a comedian because of his big, bold, beautiful humor and personality. And 2Tone is obviously the captain of the ship!! Give us merch, fam!! This is PURE.
I like the PTA "Real" Matty way more than the comedic chef Matty tbh and it is kind of sad that he only gets to open up likes this when he is with 2Tone. But then again this is why I love this show, keep it real guys.

love yall. keep it up. i was a matty fan, and now i'm a two tone and this podcast fan, and i don't think i'm alone in that. the confusion youre having is not that your fans dont support you its that podcasting is, sometimes, more than just turning on the mic and expecting the same success/metrics as other platforms. youre kinda tapping into your own upside down reasoning, which is that "everyone else turns on a mic and boom million podcast views" when that really doesnt happen that often, and when it does a lot of hard work follows to sustain. the equivalent would be, oh, lol, grafitti is literally just picking up a paint can and painting on a wall i'm gonna do this 50 times and be famous. oh, lol, being a chef is literally just cooking food - i'm a chef now.
