    Karl Malone chasing Jordan gives you a sense of how epic those finals were. Jordan's greatest accomplishment was surely handling Stockton and Malone in 6 after they had already taken down: Kobe and Shaq, Duncan and Robinson, and Hakeem, Barkley, Drexler just to get there. 6 of the top 15 scorers of all time that post season. Epic

      Had Malone stayed in Utah he probably is the all time scorer. Amaizing, Malone and Kareem, two post players are at the top being post players, and didn’t shoot threes a testament to their longevity though it’s only a matter of time till LBJ passes them.

    • @solcreate490
      @solcreate490 2 роки тому +13

      Malone's Legacy relative to Jordan is rather fascinating: five times Malone came in second for points per game in a season. Each time, the one man ahead of him was Jordan.
      So, Malone would most likely have won Five Scoring Titles if not for Jordan. To put that into perspective, Kobe, Kareem and Curry have each only won 2, while Julius Erving only won 3.
      Malone also, very likely, would have been only the fourth player in NBA history to win three MVPs in a row, as well as two titles and two Finals MVPs, if only he hadn't played in the same era as Jordan.
      Jordan probably did the most damage to Karl Malone's Legacy of all the great players.
      Simultaneously, I think if people studied Malone more he would be ranked higher all-time and looked back on far more favorably. The irony of Jordan's greatness is how it degrades other greats from his era, and how this is likely to be used against Jordan in the future (aka 'Jordan played in a weak era, and therefore is not GOAT').

    It's unfortunately the turn of events that happen in Oscar Schmidt carrer.
    As a fan of basketball from Brazil it's sad to not see the Brazilian/Olympics GOAT represented in those vids.
    He is considered the unofficial leading scorer in the world with 49737 points club and national team combined
    Sad for him that in his time there wasnt a possibility of playing in the NBA and in the nacional team. But his patriotism is something that really is rare in that time and in today's era.
    Well if you guys didnt know about him go check it out.

We all know Lebron has them in excellence his entire career. But at the age of 35/36 he still has to struggle a lot to beat that tall guy from the 80's.
