That's so weird, I couldn't remember the name of ViaVoice for like decades
Back in the late 90's, my dad (who worked at IBM at the time) brought home a copy and we tried it out on his computer.
I always remembered it as an example of speech-to-text that barely worked, at least compared to something like Assistant or Siri or whatnot.
Mostly cause it interpreted my brother's name incorrectly 100% of the time and just went completely nuts if you laughed at it butchering my brother's name.
In any case, it is friggin nuts how Joel manages to dig up crap from my memory that I figured only I remembered.
First it was "Hey Macaroni!" and now ViaVoice. 😲
