I saw Chloe perform in Ashland, KY on 3/18/17. She sang this one and truth be told I could not tell any real difference between the two (except for the lack of back ground vocalist). Even after all this time (and her slimming down) our angel still has it.
I saw Chloe in Dublin on her debut solo concert after leaving CW, a very intimate show which also saw her share a stage with her father after years of estrangement. Ave Maria was her encore and final song. It was absolutely beautiful, as you can imagine, but the experience was tinged with sadness, as Chloe has matured her singing style and delivery of the song has changed as is only natural, and while I celebrate the fact that she's singing it her own way now, my heart longed for the purity and simplicity of her younger performances. I appreciate she can't stick to the script forever, and also the amount of times she must have sung it, but for someone who was shook to the core every time I listened to the teenage/Celtic woman performances, it was a bittersweet experience. But you can't halt progress, or maturity or indeed, time.
Chloe set the bar so high for this song I can't even see it. She wasn't holding a Mic but if she was she should have dropped it at the end and walked away like a boss! lol
She could have dropped the mic ,because her performance was that stunning,but that would not have been Chloe. Just a super classy person with an extraordinary talent..
I understand what you're saying, Darkstar. I've pictured that in my mind. It actually works extraordinarily well. Although, indeed, as nwk stated, it's not in her nature. But with a different video, a slightly _darker_ version, it is something I would like to see. She has the skill, the intensity, to be able to pull that off absolutely effortlessly. And her killer vocals would annihilate any critic of that action. But I guess we'll have to leave it where it is...in our imaginations. *Sigh...*
its just pure magic hearing it in the emerald tour!! ive heard MC do a cover, no where near as good as Chloe its one of her best solos in CW!! hoping if this crisis calms down so i can go see Chloe sing it one last time for the tour!!
@@Alanzhoure oh absolutley!! people are complaining that they dont like her now cause her voice has changed but heres the thing: Chloe was in her young teens when Celtic Woman first began so her voice was soft and childlike, but now her voice is a total powerhouse!! it just blows me away everytime how much she has blossomed into such a fantastic artist!!!! i will always love Chloe no matter how much her voice changes!!

All of the women use Countryman mics . They are pluggued into the ear for monitoring while the mic part lies along one cheek. They are the best mics in the world for headset mics especially when you have the incredible talented sound people running the systems the way CW has. You can see the little flesh colored ball on her right cheek if you bothered to look . Why she had the mic stand in front of her is for effect only or her voice needed a bit of boost at the time, but the Countryman mic should have been all she needed with that voice. I remember when CW first came out and she was a young girl singing with grownups. I thought she could hold her own back then but now she is amazing. And its funny because mean people said 'she overweight'. WELL LOOK AT HER NOW- GORGEOUS
Ah, yes. She had begun losing weight before she left Celtic Woman in 2013. I believe it was for health reasons. I got to meet Chloe on 12/13/16 after her show in Cincinnati and she could not have been nicer too me. She IS a beautiful person, inside and out.
If you want to witness growth and maturity of voice check out the Ave Marie video from early CW days and compare to this one. It's been a joy to watch her mature to the wonderful human being she is today.

Chloe voice has really developed over the years. did not think it could get better when I first heard her a lifetime ago in Celtic women .
this was her greatest performance of the song with her confidence and emotion just showing her stuff! love her
