Thank you so much I always enjoy the Sabbath lesson with you. I am an adventist and I live in Nigeria. A neighbour saw me studying the Bible and he was shocked and told me he doesn't believe in Jesus. I was amazed and tried talking to him but he shut me down and said no one can make him believe. I need you all to join me in prayers for him.

Isaiah 33:14-15 speaks of the fire from God. The fire that also came at Pentecost where the believers were not harmed. The righteous can walk in the fire, the two flames at Pentecost could represent Truth & Love. And the unrighteous cannot be in the fire of Truth & Love from God. Nor do they want to be there because they have already hardened their hearts. Remember Hebrews 12:29 too.

Hi Pastor Derek, You were asking about What happens to the Faithful Living, at the time of the Return of Jesus, to Receive His Own? well, I believe that we have the answer from the Scriptures, because we are told that We will be Changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye!! Now I believe that "This Change" is what will make us "Able to Stand Before The Lord' In All His Glory", versus - the Wicked, who will be crying for the Rocks and Mountains to fall on them, and cover them from the Face of Jesus. Furthermore, isn't there a verse in the Bible, written by Paul, which states that "Flesh and Blood cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven"?? Plus, When we consider the verse which says that God wants us to worship Him "In Spirit and Truth" - perhaps, this is an indication, as to What "This Change", will be - that we will be "Spirit"?? Perhaps, this might be an explanation of what Jesus was saying, "That we will be as the Angels"?? So that there will be no Procreation in Heaven. This might be me reading explanations into trying to understand the Bible Texts?? Please let me have your thoughts on these ideas?? Not all the wicked dead will be raised. The ones destroyed in Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities of the plains have already suffered the "vengeance of eternal fire" being set forth as an example of those who will suffer the second death, nullifying forever the lie of satan that the soul lives on forever - even to the point of living on to suffer throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity.

It's too bad when we come to think that we are kinder and more righteous than God, as He has seen fit to reveal Himself in the Scriptures. Derek says he can't picture it, but Isaiah 35:4 says that God will come with vengeance -- obviously justified, necessary vengeance, which He in no way enjoys. The judgment, during the 1,000 years is not just to review God's decisions and get our questions answered, as vitally important as that may be. This is the sentencing phase of the judgment. Jesus spoke, in Luke 12:47-48, of people being "beaten" with many or few stripes. It must be decided, in the case of each finally impenitent soul, how much punishment, in duration and intensity, will be required in order to satisfy justice, before that person can be allowed to sink into eternal oblivion. "The saints shall judge the world." I Corinthians 6:2. Ellen White spelled this out for us, in the plainest language, so why are we too squeamish to teach it?

The Bible says we will reign with Jesus for 1000yrs. But does any specific Bible version say we will reign with him in Heaven?
John 14:1-3 ... Jesus is in heaven now. He comes to get us. Study these verses and work out which conclusion fits....reigning in heaven or on earth? Also 2nd Peter ch 3 shows what condition the earth will be in when Jesus returns. Also Jeremiah 4:23-26 (note all the cities broken down).

The New Jerusalem will descend from heaven most likely with the places Jesus prepared for us. Jesus will live on earth with us.

That’s on earth not heaven. And that’s not the new Jerusalem bc it has not descended yet to a new earth and heaven. Plus when it descends it’s not going to be war because no more sin. Satan is gone with wicked to lake of fire. The beloved city descends to a wedding with Christ
