In this episode and especially in the last scene it became very clear that Farya is based very loosely in the life of Murads second unnamed haseki sultan. The only information we know about the second Haseki is that she appeared in the last year's of Murads reign and her payment. Her payment was exactly the same as Faryas in this scene. Its a cute way to connect the two characters.
Yes, good point. If you assume the 2nd Haseki was a Semsisah Sultan there are even more links. Semsisah was a Christian princess who is said to have truly loved Murad & stayed with him to the end of his life & to have born children to him. Plus Semisah translates to “my sun, my Queen” & Murad’s favourite affectionate name for Farya wax “my sunshine”. Though the writers may also have partly been inspired by Rosanna given Farya’s fiery temper & her love of swords & daggers
I agree with you but I think the writers dropped the ball at times with her story arcs. In particular the mistress in the mansion stuff & her rivalry with Ayse was meh or even cringy at times. But I love the character concept & backstory & her friendship with Atike plus the actress is tremendous. She was great in the first few episodes & then again after Murad’s first campaign but her last few episodes were poorly thought out.
At this point farya was higher ranked than the blood princesses and they were to bow to her but the writers kept it tge other way round as they did with hurrem.
Unpopular opinion: Kosem is and will stay my favorite character of MC and MCK (I see like a lot of you all the episodes) I love her for a lot of reason like she is a strong and wise politician without have a men on her side ,she try to change the system like really fighting by a good strategic the fratricide law, form Turhan who will become a good politician and make a lot of good things in the Ottoman empire - even if we know what going to happen between Kosem and Turhan-, fighting the darwinist law and really try to take care of the State even if we know she was kidnapped and was bullying here , I hightly dislike the character of Farya and prefer a lot Ayse, but it was very mean and bad to said that Murad marry Farya because he pitied her. It is a very mysogin sentence - like we found in MC-. Gevherhan explain better why it is not a good wedding but not Kosem - even if she is not a mysogin like a lot of other women in MC, it is not on her habit to do sentence like this- . Sorry I am not with Kosem on this time , even If after she make good arguments after this sentence on why this wedding can be bad.
@@sweetspicy92 Hello Sweet Spicy . Yes but this is why the diversity of opinion is good :) As long as we respect each other opinion. I remember the last scene in the first season, last Beren's scene as Kösem. Gosh, she finally snapped, her eyes were empty like she died along with Ahmed, Mehmed and Osman. So it is not a surprise to me, she went slightly mad.
@@nesiacha3659 not unpopular lol everyone loves valide sultan, what she said to farya was to make her feel bad as that's partly true sadly, Murad felt bad for her and he loved her so he married her, valide sultan focuses on one reason on purpose obviously
Is it only me or anyone else who hates this fictional character, Farya? Without wasting time on this useless big mouthed fictional character they should have invested time in Turhan Sultan.
Hello Debajyoti Datta I am agree with you. Farya was a waste time. They didn't develop not only Turhan ( she had a good relationship with Atike in real life not with this boring princess ) but Kaya Ismihan ( the favorite grand daughter of Kosem and her story which was interesting) Ayse, etc wich was very frustrating ... If the writers want to make harem important they should wait the arc of Ibrahim the mad ( but the writers spoiled it by only 4 episodes and didn't show the cruelty useless to Ibrahim and didn't make a good introduction of his 8 haisekis). For the concubine of Murad IV they should only focalise on Ayse ( who was his favorite concubine) and a little bit of others concubines.
@@clewrites Hello ayse-sultan I am agree with you. If the writers of the show really want make argument of Ayse and Kosem they should make the argument of the choice of the husband of Kaya like we know in history , and not Farya... As we know Ayse was the favorite concubine of the sultan, was apparently wisdom and Murad IV was not a man who beat is his concubines, he really take care of them( but the show butchered his character too) ... The real history was more interesting such a pity that the writers make this choice of a fictional princess ( if they really want to treat the problematic of princess in the harem they should make another serie of another sultan like Murad I and not a princess anachronic please).
Respect your view but I don’t think Farya was the problem. The writers ran out of original ideas after 4 seasons of MC & 1 season of MCK & they clogged up season 2 with far too many major characters each with their own ambitions, rivalries &/or love interests so that no characters (other than Murad or Kosem) got enough screen time to really become popular with the audience. That & the poor pacing, quality control & at times patchy illogical writing resulted in dropping ratings that caused them to cancel season 3 which was meant to be Ibrahim’s reign. Also Murad had a 2nd Haseki who Farya seems to be based on, so it makes complete sense that they would have filled in the gaps about the 2nd Haseki from their own imaginations which is exactly the sort of thing that happens in historical fiction
And what if she married Murad? She doesn't have children so none cares and even when she gets to have one, none will care either. Everyone exists because valide sultan let them, including her sons. This marriage changes nothing, no one will other than the Madam listen to farya, literally no one. So this is funny. At least valide sultan openly talked to farya unlike hafsa who acts as cowrd that she is , against hurrem sultana
