My mom made fun of my husband and I one year because we drove to Minneapolis to go to the only IKEA in MN. We had never been and wanted to check it out.
LIngon ( red berries) , meatballs, potatoes and gravy, that is how we eat it in Sweden. Never had seen MacCheese here in Sweden. Kalles Kaviar ( the boy is Carl Ameln) and we eat it with bread not in those cups, that would be too much kaviar at once. The cups are eaten with sallad, like shrimp salad or salmon mousse.
I think they change the foods depending on what country it is in, they only have some “original” foods where you can get anywhere, like the meatballs. I watched another video from a different country and they had a lot of different foods that we don’t have here in Sweden
Kalles on toasted Rye bread = goodness, but I think that rye bread is made for the northern European taste buds :) The Ikea version of Meatballs and Mashpotatos is a must, I am almost sad when in Ikea and not getting that :)
I’m so glad my friend told me about you guys I’ve been hooked for almost a year now and I think I’ve watched everything you have!!! Keep up the great vids
I use to work there for over 7 years. Definitely get the staples like the cinnamon roll, and actually any dessert is so amazing there. The mash potatoes and gravy with meat balls and lingonberry sauce is an amazing meal. Dont get the mac and cheese. Its super bland and the noodles are too soft always. All the veggies taste the same because theyre like just frozen together. The chicken is great. The ribs are great. The salads are just salads. And despite what jp said they do also have honey mustard and ranch sauce as well as bbq sauce. The lingonberry drink is also pretty delicious. Its like a cranberry drink and goes well with sprite
Some friends of mine in Philly through a traditional-ish Swedish Midsummer Party in 2011. A lot of the grub came from IKEA. It was pretty decent, actually. What surprised me was the number of actual Swedish people living in Philadelphia.
you shuld definetly go there JUST for the food. The ikea in canada is a bit different though, we only have meat balls, salmon, mac and cheese, andfish and chips but there are a ton of side dishes, like garlic bread, colesaw, alfredo macaroni and much more
I played hide and seek with my gf in Ikea. She asked some people if they saw me, and they gave her weird looks when she explained that I'm a full grown adult and not a little kid.
Ikea food is soooo AMAZING!!! When i was small i would most of the time force my family to buy ikea. Every time i would eat hotdogs as breakfast always.
IKEA stores are built in such a way so that they're designed to take you through all the furniture sections before leading you to the exit. It sort of looks like a maze between all the play areas, toys, furniture pieces and walls. When you walk in, you get distracted by all the items and it takes a while to find your way out, it is not impossible, they are just exaggerating. It takes so long because the store is built sort of like a loop, you follow the given pathway through all the sections and the arrows drawn on the pathway lead you around.
As a Swedish person this warms my heart. Kalles is usually spread on bread and eaten for breakfast or dolloped on hard boiled eggs though. (At least in my house.)
Hey guys! I just remembered you exist while watching jake paul. Dont question.i was a big fan of you like 3 to 4 years ago when i just started watching YT. You guys are amazing cuz of you guys now cooking became my thing. Well i wish you all the best for the future!!
When you know the employee at 1:25 and go to ask him if he knows and they have unfriended you on Facebook and you realize “oh, it has been a while since I’ve seen a post from them”
I tried sushi once, got some nigiri rolls or w/e, just fish on rice. Blue fin tuna? amazing. Yellow fin tuna? amazing? some white fish? delish. Salmon? I gagged, I nearly puked. I had to chug it down with Dr.Pepper because my body was physically rejecting the salmon.
Here in Seden where i live, they are building a new building and its gonna be an open layout, 376 800 square feet big.. The old one built 1972 and its a maze to navigate.
The fish spread in a tube thing is actually perfect if you just put a little pea sized dab on a cracker. If you cover the whole cracker with it it's gonna be way too salty and savoury like a spoonful of hoisin sauce
One of my favorite things I got were this sort of caviar style food but I don't remember the name of it. It was so good though I had it on everything. Little orange balls of yum.
Whenever i go to ikea im never buying the hot dogs im from malaysia and i hate mustard like i dont like it and if im in ikea i feel really lost me an dmy family just walk through every section we font care
True Story: I got low blood sugar in IKEA, and I was certain I couldn't make it to the food, because we just kept walking. I remember gasping to my best friend, "You just go on. Save yourself." She freaked out, pushed me on one of those sled things, yelling, "No, no, I won't leave you!" I was down to 38 by the time I got my ice cream, but we survived.
We learned today that IKEA is a self sustaining ecosystem. You actually don’t ever have to leave.
Hey HellthyJunkFood make a Giant Po Boy

Seeing someone without a mask looks like a crime nowadays
Edit: it’s a political war zone in the replies
@Potato ?
@Potato a lot of people wear a mask nowadays, and if you see somebody that isn’t, it’s weird, and unusual
@Potato Please try to make sense.
@@jzderf Potato did.
They have mask off cause they eating will u have ur mask on while eating think not
Isn’t the red exit signs for fire exits? Just follow the arrows on the floor
They used to have dipping sauces for the tenders over by the drink station.

Swedes > Doughboy! The food almost makes it worth going into IKEA 😆
Wow so cool. I love the meatballs with mashed potato & lingonberry jam. I haven't tasted the others. I also love Kalles fish egg paste so much 💗
IKEA will soon put up a store in the Phiippines. I only just hope it also have the same restaurant option as you guys have in the States.
As a Swedish person this warms my heart.

That little girl was thinking the whole time JP was talking was "I just want the free cookie I was promised".
My favorite ikea food hack is buying 2 pieces of garlic bread and putting the chicken tenders in the middle. Garlic bread chicken tender sandwich!
IKEA is like the next costco
I drove 3 hours to my closest ikea and the food court was closed :( but I was able to get a mini Swedish meatball plate to go .
Is Julia pregnant or is that a fever dream? I could’ve sworn I saw an announcement

A friend told me that all the Nordic expats in Peking go to Ikea for food when they feel homesick.

they sell other things but their primary focus is furniture and other home accessories
