Hey thrifty friends, I use cream eyeshadows I no longer wear as metallic paste, it works brilliantly in okace of the real stuff 😉 TFS Jennifer!

Chunky Bird, if you add a few drops of Glycerin to mica eyeshadows you can make watercolors.
Just tried the eye shadow and was amazed!

I love this technique Jennifer. I really like a vintage look and this is what this technique reminds me of. I have never used a lunar paste or paste of any kind actually but will definitely be purchasing them now as I am keen to try them out. I love the SSS products. Thanks for sharing. I love embossing folders! And I love that you share so many beautiful ways “step them up”. All of these backgrounds are so pretty. I’ve got to say that when you applied the gold paste to the gray with your finger, all I could see were little Seuss-like creatures 😂 Once I saw them I couldn’t unsee them 😊Thanks for sharing your talent 💕
Beautiful idea & results. Another idea ~ after you've shimmered your paper Jennifer, lightly Brayer on white pigment or any other 3rd color! It is amazing how that texture just pops with the Lunar Paste - wow! I've played with metallic ink pads on mine, but it's not even close to that eyecandy shine. I don't have any lunar paste. I do have creamy chalks. So I shall try this with the chalks. I shall search my stash, I think I also have some metallic rub ones that might give a similar result. I am going to have some fun shopping my stash.

I do this with the cosmic shimmer polishes, etc.
Love the look, however I am a little heavy handed (fingered!) when applying metallics. I will give it another go using some of your techniques.

I absolutely love Simon Hurley Pastes. They are so versatile. Your cards are gorgeous! I do have one question, which company makes the pearl gems that you used for the berries?
I love this technique I have other colors that I love using:) that red and gold is stunning and so is the blue with the sky blue is also stunning:) I have a question for you??? It’s one I struggle all the time with and that is embossing folders with a scenery with no dies, ‘ how do you implement those into a card? For example the one you just showed with the bird house say there are no dies how would you put that into a card? Tfs God Bless:)

Not very long because it's applied in a thin layer
Thanks for the video. I watched the Simon Hurley vid showing the spreading of the Lunar Paste onto the embossed card before this one. The addition of the shimmer is really impressive. The two birds were obviously not the focal point of these cards since you covered them up. Was the motivation for your using this particular embossing folder because it was what you had on hand and had the foliage and berries?
Beautiful! My jars will, or open, the lids are extremely tight. Can I soak jar in hot water?
These are gorgeous. Can you cover the paper with the lunar paste before you emboss the paper and then emboss when it dries or will that make the paper crack?
Hmmm.... I have never tried it nor have I seen Simon Hurley do it so I'm not sure.

once again lovely cards. Thanks Jennifer. I notice the second loop on the 'merry' is not there on the ornament die cut. Not so noticeable with the bow on top. Was this a mistake by the provider?
On the second "r"? I don't think so. I think it was a design choice as far as I know.
How about adding lunar paste inside the 3D folder, like you've used ink before running it through the machine?
I’d love to know how you get such smooth edges when applying an embossed image on to your card base. I always get bumpy edges which I don’t like
do you mean warping? i you mean bumps from the texture, they are there. but you could try to smooth the edges with a bone folder
Hi Jennifer! I'm wondering if someone pushes too hard over the Lunar Paste--if they could run it through the machine with the EF again? Would it ruin the EF? These are so gorgeous! I have some lunar paste! Very excited!
Hmmm... I don't know. I'd say try it but I'd be afraid it might damage the EF.

I'm a huge fan of Simon's products. Now he has dies or svg/png files so electronic machines will cut the out.
Would using a braver to apply the paste work? Or would it dry out to fast on the Breyer?

On your card with the Friendly Birds EF, what color (brand) card stock, & the green Lunar Paste did you use?
So nice to see natural fingernails- I always find coloured polish /acrylic nails so distracting
i agree about acrylic nails, but i love to have fun with color! :) it makes me happy - sorry if it is distracting.

I’m confused. I thought the idea of all embossing folders was to make a 3D impression. 2D would just be a flat piece of paper wouldn’t it? 🤔
3d embossing folders are meant to have more depth to them.
