Dolores was only 18 when she joined the cranberries and was max 21 in this video. “Ode to my family”, “miss you when your gone” are good options and if you want something heavier - “salvation”. But salvation always saddens me as it’s clear she wasn’t well at that time. R.I.P Dolores❤️💚🇮🇪

It's not 90's that you've learned to love. Nor 80's or even 70's. It's good music you've learned to love!!! It is present in every era and every genre. I'm not the most open or closed-minded about what I listen to. But, I've learned that I can appreciate a good song, regardless of who it comes from.

Glad you are falling for the cranberries like I did, you don't have to pick a decade. They all are unique capsules onto themselves. You can like all 3. It's okay, just like if you listen to the band "Journey" in the 70s, you'll find songs, you love and capsulate that and you go to the 80s, you'll love songs by them and that time and encapsulate it and then you go to the 90's to find song to do thesame and they are all equal faves for their dacade. Now, in regards to the Cranberries, you'll also like the live. In Paris, 1999 song "Promises and the actual music video for "Free to Decide" I think you'll like. Those. And Yes Delorise had a very unique

Man this takes me right back to being a kid in my room listening to this album over and over and singing every word.
I second everyone recommending 'Linger'. Some others that I also love are 'Ode To My Family', 'Pretty', 'When You're Gone', 'Daffodil Lament,' and 'Ridiculous Thoughts'.

The vocal technique Delores uses is called "Keening" defined as; "...a traditional form of vocal lament for the dead in the Gaelic Celtic tradition, known to have taken place in Ireland and Scotland. Keening, which can be seen as a form of sean-nós singing, is performed in the Irish and Scottish Gaelic languages." Sinead O'Connor also uses the technique as does Alanis Morrisette.
