That is way to freaking cool!! Im currently working on a 1985 Pierce E2774 pumper fire truck with this same motor, have not got it started yet, but looking forward to it. Been sitting for 5 years.
I drove a 1978 White Road Boss years ago that had a 318 Detroit in it. I never had it run away on me, but I did have it reverse itself and run backward more than once. The first time you see it kinda freaks you out. Then you quickly pull the shut off in the cab.
Yup, I got a 238 running backwards once, freaky! Even happened with a Mack motor once, got it bogged down in sand and it started running backwards, once again...freaky
Tork monsters and powerful in a 40 foot GM Bus let alone an old Chevy lol Maybe think about scoring an old silversides bus and plunk that motor in it and turn it into a beotchin' RV for vacations :-)
Sounds like a Detroit surprised that it started so easy great job man
My love of diesel power brought me here. Can't wait to see the rest of this build!
I appreciate ya subscribing.
That lil jimmy sounds good
Ya it’s surprising for how badly rusted it was inside

Nice. Make sure you clean the injectors and stuff before you start it.
Don’t think there will be any pesky mosquitoes around! Good ole Detroit!
Hahaha ya

I drove a 81 brigadier with a 318 and had it reverse on me. Didn’t run long in reverse but ya it was freaky
@@JamesPretty No doubt, something you don't see every day.

Sounds like a detroit didn't sound bad
That Belvedere should be in a car show because of it’s unconventional engine combination
Eventually it will be
Looks like a spark shot up from that red wire or hose by the steering box to the block at the 13:10 mark.
Interesting. Wonder what that was. Maybe just my start switch wire popped off
Hell yeah buddy badd ass man
Very cool
I'll like to put a 6V92 in a 70's Camaro and make it a pro runner.
Hell yea
Too cool 😎
So, where is the coolant? Seems like a long time to run without cooling.
Block is full
They put a bus engine in a classic car😂😂
if all diesels sounded like this....
I know it’s so sweet
is that 2stroker old. car
He wishes he had a car this cool lol
Why don't you mount the turbo on the side to get it lower down out of the driver's line of site?
I may put twin turbos on it which would help. But we’ll see how it ends up
Интересный аппарат. мощный мотор. класс
Yes it’s very powerful I like it
It is mad and ugly! Nice hot rod 😊
