- Hi friends! It's been awhile! Big changes are happening this year. I'm moving classrooms AND grade levels! Ahh! I hope y'all are having a great summer :)!! If you have any suggestions for things you LOVE having on your walls in 5th grade, help a girl out lol. Love you!
Also, I’ve done the affirmation activity with my class before and highly recommend! They decorated their words cards and it was better than any product. I would take the bubbly paper down, I just did that in my room today!
I left the classroom in October 2022 when my twins were born 14 weeks prematurely. My daughter died after only 35 minutes and my son spent the next 126 days in the NICU. I’m returning to the classroom, new school/new grade, this fall. I’m overwhelmed at the thought of having a completely blank slate, but know I need to feel this sense of purpose outside of my home again, to keep going for my kids. I’m drawing from your strength and inspiration, and sending you and your brother love and light ❤️

@@hellomissromeoit will feel like that until one day it won’t feel like that as much. I commend you for pushing through while giving yourself grace. Just remember that it’s okay to feel all the emotions bad and good. The more you give yourself permission to go on the easier the breaths will get easier and that will only come when it should. Please keep sharing your journey in your classroom and in life, it’s important for people to see how trauma impacts us and that it’s okay if we’re not 100% a 100% of the time and silver linings are sometimes all we can hope for❤

You are an inspiration! You should seriously run a workshop in Las Vegas at those teacher conferences. I have always taught 5th grade and even though your activites are at 3rd/4th grade level, my 5th graders love them! I feel like they missed out on alot when they were in primary school because they were sitting behind the computer screens, so i wanted to make up for lost time. Thank you so much!
