Just wondering what kind of mother would get into a lifeboat without her child? One would think she would search and search even at the cost of her own life.
I'm with you who would leave their baby on a sinking ship and get into a Lifeboat without it
I believe she was forced into the lifeboat against her will.

Leah Aks’ infant was taken out of her arms and put in a boat which then lowered away before she could get in it. She got into another boat and found her baby on the Carpathia. There other stories of infants being handed to strangers in the boats. Mrs. Becker was put into a boat with her youngest children but without her 12-year-old daughter Ruth. Ruth got into another boat.
Seeing the frost on More's face makes me think of a passage in his autobiography.
"Come on," 'I shouted, "Last one in's a cissy."
'I leaped. Never have I experienced such cold in all my life. It was like jumping into a deep freeze. The shock forced the breath out of my body....
"Stop!" 'I shouted' "Don't listen to me! It's bloody awful! Stay where you are!"

I would have blown on that whistle as much as I could. Not one or two times as in this scene. I'd want to make dann sure I was seen.
We should of gotten a lot more carpathia and Californian scenes in James Cameron’s titanic and that could of made 3 billion in the box office.
They did film them. Unfortunately, they were cut despite sets and models being built as well as filmed, in addition to actors (also filmed).
He said it would interrupt the pacing and take the audience out of the Titanic experience. He wanted them to feel like Titanic was alone, and it truly was when it finally went under.
We really need a movie focusing only on the ships that were around the RMS Titanic while she was sinking. The RMS Carpathia and SS Californian of course, but also the SS Frankfurt, SS Mount Temple, RMS Olympic, RMS Baltic, SS Birma, SS Mesaba, and RMS Virginian.
