    you should call the first of the two songs without a name. “The Nameless One” It has a mysterious adventurous sound to the composition. And it gives me a thought of a mysterious adventurer strong yet agile going through a mysterious place/forest/cavern full of vegetation with light peaking through every once in a while.
    Those are the thoughts when hearing the first piece that entered my head as I listened. Beautiful and fun! Thank you!

    Hi there, wonderful video, thank you.
    I'm a follower of your Friday lessons - not doing to badly lots of practice going on at the moment, but may I ask about the double sided handpan you played in The Old Sea, it was mind blowing, what make is it? And how do the re tune it?
    Last point your last song was so relaxing, slow simple melody with beautiful harmonies and cross rhythms. I could listen to it all day.
    Thank you.

    • @DavidKuckhermann
      @DavidKuckhermann  4 роки тому +1

      Thanks Philip :),
      The doublesider is a Yishama Pantam by Yhonathan Ale-Yahav. It is retuned without opening just from one side, which is not an easy task. When it needs major retuning work, it would be opened and re-glued, but it keeps tuning very well.

    Hey David; voll schöne Energie dein Spiel und deine Stücke. Erfreue mich immer wieder aufs neue über deine Technik, deine Arrangments und das Feeling das hierbei rüberkommt...........................Eine Frage die mich schon lange begleitet....von der Djembe auf die Handpan übertragen....Beim Djembespiel z.B. spielt der Europäer hand to hand den KUKU als Beispiel mit anderem Handsatz als die Afrikaner welche eher nach ergonomie vorgehen (spielen die Rhythmen meist auch schneller, dann ist das leichter) Auf der Djembe passe ich den Handsatz entsprechend oft an das Spieltempo an. Teilweise während des Spiels, wenn z. B. die Kraft ausgeht bei schnellem Spiel, abhängig von der Djembestimme, die ich gerade spiele..................zurück zur Handpan aber selbe Frage..............variierst du den Handsatz von Stück zu Stück, welches du gerade spielst ???????? Oder ist das ein Ansatz? Ich ertappe mich oft dabei das Ding auf dem Beat mal mit rechts, ein andermal wieder mit links zu spielen und komme dadurch oftmals durcheinander da meine "Methode" im Ansatz nicht konsequent ist. Umgekehrt lernt meine linke Hand dazu ( oder "die Hand", die gerade umdenken muß; also ich ;_))), das freut mich dann auch wenn ich hierbei Fortschritte erlebe........Aber generell; ist es besser einen Ansatz konsequenter zu verfolgen für die Entwicklung meines Handpanspiels ???? Freu mich auf deine Antwort. Gute vibes zu Euch

    • @DavidKuckhermann
      @DavidKuckhermann  4 роки тому

      Hey Robin,
      ich würde empfehlen, dir erst mal ein System anzugewöhnen. Wenn du es dann so richtig in den Fingern hast, kann man gut variieren, ohne dass es dich raushaut.
      Beim Handpan muss man natürlich die Tonfelder berücksichtigen, manchmal muss man also aus seinem Handsatz raus, um bestimmte Melodien zu spielen.
      Die Downbeats würde ich dabei, solange es ergonomisch funktioniert, mit der dominanten Hand spielen.
