this is not the kind of boss fight where you prioritize dmg. at least if you don’t have Acheron or Imbibitor Lunae… after hours of fighting him here are my points: 1. you need Asta. or any other character you have that boosts speed but she also deals fire dmg and this will help you get shields quicker. 2. Welt is not that important you can take any other good dps of the required elements you have - Serval, Guinaifen, Himeko - whoever works for you and can do group attacks. Welt is convenient because he locks enemies and gives you more time to deal dmg or take the shield down, he will save you additional 20-30 minutes. 3. you need a healer. you don’t need preservation characters. 4. prioritize fire, lightning and imaginary damage if you can - you need those shields. and take your time. I hope it helps someone out there!
@toshiify if both are average dmg dealers - try Welt. He slows enemies down and delays their attacks with his ult. But make sure he has a good Effect Hit Rate on the artifacts. Hopefully it helps!
Would this team work? HMC, Welt (slows and breaks), Gallahger (sustain and breal) and Acheron (Can cycle ult decently fast with welt and gallahger, for shield dmg in phase 2)
man i hate this boss so bad. i still haven’t beaten it even after 2 days trying all kinds of team comps. hoyo should really make story bosses’ difficulty adjustable because it just makes the story unenjoyable for mid players like me😭

Oh, use s2 with damage reduction and the four things will only damage the preservation TB. Since you have a tank, you don't gotta worry about damage. Since defense is priority on the preservation TB. Natasha's ult can be used to top him off or a heal. Depending on the state of the party's collective hp.
well the joke is I tried the team with Aventurine multiple times but I just couldn’t beat him 😟 dunno maybe you need him at C6 for it to be easy but he did nothing to help me with this fight, was the weakest spot actually. the previous update with boss Aventurine felt easy with him in my team but this fight… tbh I don’t know how it can be easy for anyone, I hope they will nerf him in story mode.

YOU'RE ACTUALLY A LIFESAVER! I've been stuck on this for a little over a week, have been frantically building characters to try to get past it. I lost Ruan Mei to Welt, and then saw this, so I figured I'd build him and pull for Firefly while I was at it. Was finally able to defeat with a team of Firefly (70), Trailblazer (70, E1), Welt (70), and Gallagher (70, E4). I can't put to words just how grateful I am!! TYSM!!
Omg FINALLY. There are like no guides to this boss (which is understandable since it’s new but still 😭) and I’ve been suffering sm. I honestly was starting to regret upping my world level. Okay so I did it! I used this exact team comp and tried to do the same steps and it WORKED! It was so easy which is crazy consdering the amt of times i had to redo it before. I only had to redo this one time with this comp and that was because I messed up on the 2nd phase near the very end.

@@SpeedyGwen You gotta make sure you are timing Asta's burst correctly. Or at leas thats how I failed the first time. Get your chars to at least lvl 60 too, and give asta an er artifact. Thats what helped me

Used: Harmony MC Natasha for healing Lynx for main healing Serval for DMG Used food such as: Longevity Pill of Cruelty Disposable Kinetic Cannon For the fight, Destroy minions shield Keep on healing Serval bc she has the lowest health there prob Tell me if you need further information about the fight I'm doing a No Warp Challenge so everything I had there was obtainable within the game without pulling anything, hope it helps. 🎉😊

Thank you, tried this team last night, my asta is only 70 and just has a basic relic build, I have most stuff she needs but they arent leveled, Gallagher and welt have a build, they're both 80, but not maxed traits, then HMC was the rental character, lol. I just spammed Bounce attacks when I had the skill points, if i had to normal attack it went straight to the boss, and spammed ultimates when the lit up, even Gallagher's as that led to everyone eventually surviving all 3 rounds. I couldn't believe all 4 characters survived when I was struggling so bad to even pass round 2, lol. So thank you, this was the first story based boss team I found and also the first to help those of us not fortunate enough to have any of these op characters everyone else keeps suggesting we use, lol.

My team that I use: Crit silverwolf Sparkle -> usual build (we need the points and to make the char turn faster) Bailu -> Make her hp till 6000 or more Harmony Trailblazer 1. Just kill the first phase (when u use Sparkle skill, choose wisely between who to pick, Bailu (Healing turn) or Silverwolf (Dealing dmg turn) 2. At phase 2, attack Sunday's summon (if Sunday's using shield). If done, then just do the number 1 3. At phase 3, is much easier just make sure your Bailu/Healer ultimate is full

I was able to complete this by using Acheron, MC, Himeko, Natasha and just kept attacking the little minions to keep their weakness breaks down. I used a max HP increase and a CRIT rate/dmg item to go with it

this boss fights are really breaking me, first I was stuck when I got to aventurine and had to build another healer and really focus on upgrading everyone a lot more and now I though having kinda descent build using Lynx Topaz and Dr Ratio that it would be enough but I just keep getting my ass beat, my damage is good but not nearly enough to break the small enemies, but if I only focus on breaking the boss there is just too much dmg going around, with a lot of effort I can get to phase 2 but then I just die.. I guess I really need to build Asta and maybe Serval to have AOE for this fight, Fire Trailblazer would be nice but I'm stuck with the Harmony one.. I guess my team that counter his elements are just too single target focused and no one strong enough to hold aggro and take those hits for the team.. I wish I had gallegher

Tip- build you healers/shielders really well This boss is something that checks your dps and heal/shield builds both, personally the team i used was Harmony mc (compulsory) Acheron (her burst really clears any shi-) (just dont let her die pls like obvious) Gepard (shielder) Huo-Huo (healer) here huo huo helps recharging my gepard ult by her ult provides atk boost and consistent heals through skill This team is a slow but very nice way of defeating this boss. Just try to get extra shield on every turn even if you have gepard shield on, also keep skill point and heal even if you lose a little hp as this boss attacks like crazy Hope it helps ehe :)
Great video and explanation! Getting straight to the point! Luckily I had Ruan Mei which made this boss a cake-walk. But I agree, Asta just literally melts enemy toughness.
Aventurine + Gallegher made this fight really easy for me, I built my Aventurine with sloppy Def% pieces until he was at 4000 Def, his damage is utterly abysmal but I pretty much took no damage throughout. With Gallegher I think it’s best to hold onto his ult until the attack comes up where you need to weakness break all of the enemies since his ult absolutely shreds. There’s probably much faster ways to beat this fight but my strat was comfy
I struggled with this boss, then I smacked together Kafka, Acheron, HMC, Lynx, and my god its ridiculous how much this team worked out compared to a dedicated nihility team LOL. My first setup was Ache, HMC, Bronya, Lynx, failed. My 2nd setup was, Ache, Swan, HMC, Lynx, failed. Then my most half assed team won by so much. None even got their HP to red. I think this time, it really WAS my skill issue. I figured I needed DoT characters to fill up Ache's ult, but forgot Kafka's follow up adds a stack too. Great guide though! truly.

Ohhhh my god thank you, I was starting to hate the story having to skip and run through it everytime I had to retry this damn boss... MC + Asta + Welt + Luocha made this a breeze! I'm kinda happy that Asta and Welt are such powerhouses in this battle, they were some of my main party members back in Jarilo-VI 😊
hi. used Story HTB, Himeko, Asta, and Fu Xuan at EQ4 here. some tips: - use trailblazer's Skill for weakness breaking (it's really good) - same goes for Asta over people like Serval and Himeko. Bounce > AoE/Blast & Basic ATK - first phase shouldn't be too hard; just try breaking minion toughness then big boy toughness. your two main sources of dmg will be toughness break and HTB's Superbreak from its Ult - second phase can get tricky. like it was said in the video, try to just stay alive. just play how you did in the first phase except forget trying to dmg through Superbreak. you'll really need to stay alive before getting the R active. - try to use the R active when the big shield is down, to break toughness bar. - third phase is easy. try to have SP for HTB and Asta, esp. HTB. and use your R active whenever. - your main goal in third phase is to just break as much toughness as possible. weakness breaking and dealing dmg will come naturally - bonus tip, try to bring characters with Ults that deal dmg. the boss will have its toughness reduced by all Types. as for pure F2P team, Serval for main dps, Lynx or Natasha for sustain. that's all we have. now, if you have Himeko or Fu Xuan, they are also fine. Himeko might come on top of Serval due to the talent FUA. Gallagher over Lynx/Natasha coz of Ult dmg deal. dunno about the others. Acheron? Acheron is a must on every team... maybe bar a couple.
ive been using imbibitor lunae bailu and himeko/kafka and its so hard - i cant even make it to the third stage. Really shows how this game is just as much about strategy as it is having powerful characters, because my characters are pretty well built. now i realize i cant just ignore the other enemies lol

I saw someone say the mc is unable to die so I didn't bother healing him but I can't say for sure if this is true since he never came close to dying. Saved me trouble though

Everyone going around saying its very hard, meanwhile for fun i did it with ratio, HTB, lvl 60 march, and lvl 60 gallagher on lvl 40 lc. There is just a trick for the second half, you attack the summons to break the boss shield
@@Mimimi345. if you want, i did upload a run (the only video on this channel lol) but it was from after i built gallagher, so rn he is lvl 80 with lvl 9/12 traces, but still on LC lvl 50 but basically, in first half is easy to survive, youll sometimes shield with march, but mostly quick boss breaks for team shield. second half the shield is a big problem. but the trick is to always attack the summons instead, because the shield gets more damage from that, after that you go back to attacking the boss. third half is just gonna be just breaking, and try to end second half with most ults ready so you can use them againt boos immediately. i was able to do phase 3 without him attacking me once
Thanks a lot for the video! I almost ragequit the game, but decided to give it another try. Beat it first try with E3 Asta, E3 Serval and E2 Lynx and I think that's the most F2P way. Oh, and almost forgot, I didn't use any food
@@SpeedyGwen Try to take a break for a day or two, and maybe you'll find a way to beat it. As far as I can tell, you want characters with AOE attacks, lots of speed and a ton of break effect. this boss was really fun for me tbh the difficulty was just right i only had to restart once after realizing guinaifen's hp was too low (i recommend making sure everyone has at least 3k hp bc before when she died she had only 2.8k but after switching to a relic that had a lil more hp she survived the entire thing) but i was still struggling enough that i was actually really enjoying it which was nice after the aventurine boss who i was too bored with in the story mode (sadly i fought aventurine after he got nerfed)
The boss battle gave me emotional damage. My team are luocha, dhil and acheron, but that son of nice lady wiped them out after second phase cut scene. I think i have big skill issue. EDIT: I DID IT! I change Acheron with Asta and it's really game changer. My team beated the boss smoothly.
Yeah... This MF did give me a hard time at first to say the least. For me, Gepard's the one who came in clutch to replace my Presevation Trailblazer, since I couldn't use that spec for that fight To me, it's clear that having a character who can generate shields or delay your opponent's turn helps tremendously if you can't just DPS your way through the fight, only having a good healer, at least for me, wasn't enough, my Natasha is fully specced out and there were moments where she just couldn't heal on time, mostly due to the boss putting her on sleep at crucial moments. So yeah, always great to have a few Presevation and Utility characters laying around for when a boss gives you trouble.
wow you probably have a really well built Gepard! my Aventurine was like… the weakest place in my team but after I replaced him with Gallagher everything worked out fine.
Ayo, Gallagher was the play! My own Harmony TB with DDD replaced Asta so I could run with a DPS (Acheron) It took me 2 days to level and build Gallagher but it was absolutely worth it. And Welt also did a great job as well. Thanks for the Guide! ❤
I got my ass kicked with Asta-Serval-Lynx, honestly caught me off guard because all other story battles were super easy and I got them first try. I'll try lvling up Gallagher and see what happens
Lynx is good for cleansing debuffs but Gallagher can deal fire dmg and get you shields that are just so much more valuable for this fight. I hope it helps!
what is this fight? First phase is easy but from 2nd phase he constantly keeps making shield and the moment I break his shield he just makes another. Also somehow killing my 4k HP Dan Heng IL from full HP from the chain hits by the small guys. This game loves to constantly softlock players for no reason.
yeah this fight you do need to prioritize strategy over damage or you’ll never get past that shield. try using a character like Asta/Bronya to help Dan Heng IL hit more often so the boss won’t have a chance to restore the shields or chain hit your team.
Last few bosses seem to be overtuned to people who have all the latest OP banner characters. Not everyone has access to Adventurine (Funny how everyone saying this boss is easy is using this character lol) to make the fight a joke. At least with the last boss they tweaked it and made it less difficult, maybe they will do this one as well.

I kept trying all kinds of teams for 3 days straight. And only then turned to this guide, which finally helped me finish the battle. I went with Welt, Luocha and Himeko. And dare I say, all my 5 star char are leveled up until 70 only. I have my Welt traces maxed up to 70 too, but I never ever use him (I just prefer cutie DHIL more ❤), but I literally switched all DHIL relics onto Welt and into the battle I went 😂 Anyway, my point is thank you soooo much. Couldn't have done it without your Welt suggestion 🎉
Okay so I usually NEVER comment on videos but this boss was so stressful I'm hoping this helps someone out. I'm not great at builds, team comps, or whatnot but at this point I think everyone wanted to die based on the comments so here's what worked for me. I know people are saying don't bother with preservation characters however, I literally used the exact team in this video and every. single. attempt. my Asta was knocked down and it just messed the whole thing up so this was my EXACT line up in ORDER (left to right): - Gepard Lv 80. (E2) His talent Unyielding Will restores him if he's knocked down so I didn't have to worry as much about him if he did get taken out (He's a beefy boi) ADDITIONALLY, the bonus effect Integrity makes the boss attack him more frequently so he won't target the others as often. Since I used Serval (E3) instead of my welt, I made sure to keep his shield focused on her and Natasha (E6) because the TB can't get knocked down unless all your other characters are down so don't worry about them, make sure he has a good DEF build to sustain his shield longer. Make sure you keep building up energy for him as you go with his basic attack and occasionally his skill. Use his ULT before the boss uses his main attack if your characters have a low shield and monitor the enemies closely. Enemy hits also increase energy so keep an eye on that. - Trailblazer Harmony Lv 80. (mandatory) I used them before my serval (main damage dealer) could attack to increase her damage output and break effect on enemies. I also didn't have a great build either, I think I had 2-piece Broken Keel, 4-piece Watchmaker on them and just focused on break effect (and I think effect hit rate? (Idk what I'm talking about anymore my brain is fried) but that seemed to work, don't stress if their HP is low, and DON'T use Natasha's skill to heal the TB if the others are fine, use it on serval and Natasha herself (and only if Gepard is low and has already revived himself). - Serval Lv 80. (E3) I've been using her since the game launched so I'd say she's built pretty well and she pretty much carried the whole team for dealing damage and break effect since she's a lightning and erudition character. Like I said before, it is PARAMOUNT that you keep Gepard's shield on Serval especially in the second wave because if she goes down, you've lost the fight. - Natasha Lv 80. (E6) Now, I do have Gallagher, is he built? No lmao. Did I want to go out of my way to build him and stress myself out further? Absolutely not. You can be flexible with your healer as long as they're able to restore a good amount of HP and sustain the team. Use her ULT sparingly, you're going to want to use it after your team takes a huge hit and Gepard's shield is destroyed in the process. Do NOT use her skill on the TB if they're the only one low on HP because they won't be downed during the fight, prioritise her skill on Serval at ALL costs (but do make sure Natasha doesn't die ofc).
I know this is an F2P guide, but if you have Fuxuan it really helps. Just put landau's choice on her, and she pretty much soaks up all the damage for your team. Also thanks for the guide, I've been struggling so much with this boss.
I managed to beat this boss yesterday after more than 6 retries. My account is pure F2P, been playing since 1.1 but took a break after 1.6 and recently returned. What I did is basically: - Try to control the amount of break damage you did against Harmonious Choir since the shield is mandatory for you to tank the big damage it does at the beginning of phase 2. Getting a minimum of 2.5k shield by the end of phase 1 is good. Too early and you might lose the shield fast, but too late and your team is going to take a huge damage. - Fire, Lightning, and Imaginary are the goats here. AoE skills are going to be soooo amazing here. For second phase, DO NOT directly attack the boss but attack the choir members instead. I find out it depletes the shield of the boss so much faster 😂 - Food buffs help a lot. I used food buffs that gave additional crit rate and crit dmg, as well as Effect RES and HP increase. Don't be ashamed to use food buffs here, it helps a lot - For phase 3, its the easiest phase. Just go unga bunga, and hit the boss a lot. I managed to get a whopping 35k shield stack and my team literally stays alive until the end - My team comps are Welt, Himeko, Harmony Trailblazer, and Fu Xuan. If you don't have Fu Xuan, you can try slot in another healer like Gallagher or another Sustain. Try to have the same elements though like the boss weakness so it's much more bearable - Lastly, GOOD LUCK! You're going to need it 😅
im literally stuck on this boss and idk what to do advice greatly appreciated, i took a break from hsr and came back when there was only 10 days left on the event(the one where u have to do the main quest first) and i did most of the main quest until i got stuck on this boss my main team is mono-quantam(qingque, silver wolf, sparkle, fu xuan) except i replaced fu xuan with lynx, i only have 1 leveel 80 char which is lynx and none of my characters have maxed traces is tried so much comps such as lynx, sparkle, dr:ratio lynx, silver wolf, qingque, lynx, sparkle, silver wolf bailu, lynx, dr ratio, all of them i got past phase 1 except phase two is just so hard, most of my team comps only two characters are on offense and the other two heal/support. i have no resin(like at all) so my only resin supply is when it refills but im short on time because of the event could someone please give me any advice? my account is already in a depressing state and the only built characters i have are the ones i used in my team comps
I used another f2p team, i think. Almost all of my caracters are half builded, so it could be easier to you if you have better characters. My main idea was to just spam serval ults and survive, so I used my main trailblazer with sets that boost the break effects, just spare pieces. I have a really well builded Lynx, a lot of hp and Energy Recharge to try and have always a ult available. A Tingyun with the messenger travesing hacckerspace, just to boost the speed and recharge the Serval ult And Serval with the basic Band of Sizzling Thunder set that I have since the begginin of the game, and put her a break effect rope just to break more the boss thougness. My main plan was just to atack the main body with serval and trailblazer, with Lynx and Tingyun to regen de SP or boost/heal, spaming the Serval Ults with Tingyun support to try and break the main body bar, plainly ignoring the four other enemies since Serval ult can take them out with some luck of the Trailblazer skill hit's. That, and using food before starting the figth, a Def + buff, and a Breaf Effect + buff. The first phase was easy enough, just being carefull with the strong atack of the boss, but didn't have any problem beyond that. Second phase with the use of the fight, things got more troublesome, here i had to choose to attack sometimes the little enemies instead of the main body, to reduce the damage that the enemies ult was going to do. Instead of spaming the astral express train atack, I used to interrup the eneimes ult, giving me another chance to get more shield. The tird phase was kind of anticlimatic for me, since the first atack of the boss took out Serval, so i didn't have a DPS anymore. But with the trailblazer Skill + ult, the break effect of those too where enough to finish the fight without any other problem, using Tingyun to boost a little more Trailblazer. At this phase, since Serval died, Trailblazer became my DPS in this phase. So yeah, after 23 fights using different teams, this one was one that got me the win at my first try. Sorry for the long text, but hopefully it will help somebody
Thank you for your help! Man this boss is pissing me off. Honestly makes the story and game less enjoyable. lol I just want to advance finally. Been stuck on him for 3 months now. (Got a job that I work a lot of hours so don’t have much time per day to put in a lot of hours upgrading, plus missing some updates when ya can get new characters that I missed) lol I’ve read other peoples opinions and one was use Serval with march mc harmony and Natasha. I’ve got Gallagher and asta and welt but got to upgrade them cause I never did with them cause all this time I never used them lol. My top 80 lvl are Natasha, Main character, Serval, Firefly, March, Kafka. Dam I’ll just upgrade asta and Gallagher and welt and hope I make it past now lol.
Its the easies boss guyzz just focus on killing his minions first and shields will break much faster and after u break the shield of the boss use ULTIMATE TRAIN ATTACK 👊👊👊 then start attacking dont prioritize high dps character focus on shielder healer trailblazer or any character of your choice thats it and take you time and use your shields wisely

Thanks to this video i had an idea for a team that made me win the fight ^^ i didn't have asta built, but i had Acheron, so i tried to brute force it a bit using Her, Guinaifen,Gallagher and Stelle it worked 🤣 i didn't have much speed obv, but the damage made up for everything lol
To me Bailu sounds most reasonable - she can do small lightning damage to help your team get the shield quicker plus she can bring back one downed character. I hope it helps ~
Thank you for the video! I used himeko, Natasha, imaginary MC (use story), serval. As someone mentioned use heals on your characters except story MC, since the story MC can’t die. I could have used Asta to get everyone’s speed up to do AoE but I wanted to see if my Himeko could survive.
Just beat this after losing thrice and uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. Used MC (story), Kafka, Fu Xuan and Serval. Keep making sure Fu Xuan always has her burst up as she's bound to take a beating. Another thing to note is that the second phase is the toughest of all three. If you get past the second phase, you've basically beaten the boss as the third phase just requires you to keep breaking the toughness bar and dealing damage.
im currently using asta, kafka and lynx and im still stuck on this stupid boss 😭😭.. i actually dont know what im doing wrong here, but i've thought about replacing kafka (decently built, does good dmg) with acheron (semi-built, does around 3-5k w skill), or using two healers/sustainers, might just quit the game at this point until they nerf this boss like they did with aventurine.
I used your team except for my own tb and bailu and made it through. Bailu saved my ass bc welt died on phase 2 and it would have been over except bailu's talent revives a dead team member once per battle If anyone has bailu I HIGHLY recommend because although her healing is a bit rng where it goes it does a decent job and her ult can be used to soak up some damage if you don't have a shield yet Welt or anyone like Dr. Ratio or just someone who can slow or imprison is a MUST because it can slow the boss and his annoying little chorus things giving you less damage and time to rack up skill points and shield Astra is also a MUST because her spd boost from ult is very helpful for breaking the things and her aoe is decent at weakening them for welt or someone else to break
I got lucky with topaz, best accidental pull of my whole hsr history btw here's the team that I used: Harmony mc Topaz Jingliu Lynx I wanted to use dr. ratio but decided not to since I needed at least 1 breaker, 1 main dps and a healer
I hated this boss with all my heart- He made me lose 10 times, with two different teams 💀 And that made me realize that Luocha wasn't the one keeping my teams alive, the Preservation Trailblazer was the one keeping the teams alive. I got to the point of considering waiting for a Firefly rerun to complete the fight, until I realized that i couldn't interact with absolutely anything other thing than the fight against Sunday-

This boss is by far the hardest one. Because this boss does really high damage,can stun and gain shield.The first phase was easy but when it reach second phase,it got even harder like it would regenerate shield in second.The minions kinda annoying as it attack your shield and makes the shield lower and couldn't tank the damage. I use serval,asta,trailblaze and luocha but still can't beat it.
The phase 2 fight is actually super unfair I got him to 7% shield, right? He HEALS THAT SHIT BACK TO 100% My team was: HARMONY TB GALLAGHER (E6, High level traces, & he has his light cone) DR. RATIO BAILU the thing is that Gallagher is here to act as a second healer & as a fire weakness breaker Phase 2 is unfair, but everyone says phase 3 is way easier So why make phase 2 actual bullshit but make every other phase pure skill based & this shit has a bit of RNG into it
UPDATE: I won. Turns out, just gamble for firefly & you win. I got her & ended up reaching the third phase. The third phase is way more easier then then other 2. Literally just break him every time he gets to the 6 or 5 word. He’s really easy with firefly.
this is not the kind of boss fight where you prioritize dmg. at least if you don’t have Acheron or Imbibitor Lunae… after hours of fighting him here are my points:
1. you need Asta. or any other character you have that boosts speed but she also deals fire dmg and this will help you get shields quicker.
2. Welt is not that important you can take any other good dps of the required elements you have - Serval, Guinaifen, Himeko - whoever works for you and can do group attacks. Welt is convenient because he locks enemies and gives you more time to deal dmg or take the shield down, he will save you additional 20-30 minutes.
3. you need a healer. you don’t need preservation characters.
4. prioritize fire, lightning and imaginary damage if you can - you need those shields. and take your time.

@toshiify if both are average dmg dealers - try Welt. He slows enemies down and delays their attacks with his ult. But make sure he has a good Effect Hit Rate on the artifacts. Hopefully it helps!

man i hate this boss so bad. i still haven’t beaten it even after 2 days trying all kinds of team comps. hoyo should really make story bosses’ difficulty adjustable because it just makes the story unenjoyable for mid players like me😭

It took me about 8 hours of constant trying but I did it luckily with Acheron Kafka luocha and the stupid required harmony tb

Oh, use s2 with damage reduction and the four things will only damage the preservation TB. Since you have a tank, you don't gotta worry about damage. Since defense is priority on the preservation TB. Natasha's ult can be used to top him off or a heal. Depending on the state of the party's collective hp.
Thankfully someone beating it without saying it's easy when they are using OP special banner characters (Adventurine for example lol).
well the joke is I tried the team with Aventurine multiple times but I just couldn’t beat him 😟 dunno maybe you need him at C6 for it to be easy but he did nothing to help me with this fight, was the weakest spot actually.
the previous update with boss Aventurine felt easy with him in my team but this fight… tbh I don’t know how it can be easy for anyone, I hope they will nerf him in story mode.

YOU'RE ACTUALLY A LIFESAVER! I've been stuck on this for a little over a week, have been frantically building characters to try to get past it. I lost Ruan Mei to Welt, and then saw this, so I figured I'd build him and pull for Firefly while I was at it. Was finally able to defeat with a team of Firefly (70), Trailblazer (70, E1), Welt (70), and Gallagher (70, E4). I can't put to words just how grateful I am!! TYSM!!

Okay so I did it! I used this exact team comp and tried to do the same steps and it WORKED! It was so easy which is crazy consdering the amt of times i had to redo it before. I only had to redo this one time with this comp and that was because I messed up on the 2nd phase near the very end.

@@SpeedyGwen You gotta make sure you are timing Asta's burst correctly. Or at leas thats how I failed the first time. Get your chars to at least lvl 60 too, and give asta an er artifact. Thats what helped me

Keep on healing Serval bc she has the lowest health there prob

Thank you, tried this team last night, my asta is only 70 and just has a basic relic build, I have most stuff she needs but they arent leveled, Gallagher and welt have a build, they're both 80, but not maxed traits, then HMC was the rental character, lol.
I just spammed Bounce attacks when I had the skill points, if i had to normal attack it went straight to the boss, and spammed ultimates when the lit up, even Gallagher's as that led to everyone eventually surviving all 3 rounds. I couldn't believe all 4 characters survived when I was struggling so bad to even pass round 2, lol.
So thank you, this was the first story based boss team I found and also the first to help those of us not fortunate enough to have any of these op characters everyone else keeps suggesting we use, lol.

My team that I use:
Crit silverwolf
Sparkle -> usual build (we need the points and to make the char turn faster)
Bailu -> Make her hp till 6000 or more
Harmony Trailblazer
1. Just kill the first phase (when u use Sparkle skill, choose wisely between who to pick, Bailu (Healing turn) or Silverwolf (Dealing dmg turn)
2. At phase 2, attack Sunday's summon (if Sunday's using shield). If done, then just do the number 1
3. At phase 3, is much easier just make sure your Bailu/Healer ultimate is full
it’s always the 2nd phase i struggle the most, but i’ll consider building Gallagher and Asta, thank u for the tips

I was able to complete this by using Acheron, MC, Himeko, Natasha and just kept attacking the little minions to keep their weakness breaks down. I used a max HP increase and a CRIT rate/dmg item to go with it

this boss fights are really breaking me, first I was stuck when I got to aventurine and had to build another healer and really focus on upgrading everyone a lot more and now I though having kinda descent build using Lynx Topaz and Dr Ratio that it would be enough but I just keep getting my ass beat, my damage is good but not nearly enough to break the small enemies, but if I only focus on breaking the boss there is just too much dmg going around, with a lot of effort I can get to phase 2 but then I just die..
I guess I really need to build Asta and maybe Serval to have AOE for this fight, Fire Trailblazer would be nice but I'm stuck with the Harmony one.. I guess my team that counter his elements are just too single target focused and no one strong enough to hold aggro and take those hits for the team.. I wish I had gallegher

Tip- build you healers/shielders really well
This boss is something that checks your dps and heal/shield builds both, personally the team i used was
Harmony mc (compulsory)
Acheron (her burst really clears any shi-) (just dont let her die pls like obvious)
Gepard (shielder)
Huo-Huo (healer) here huo huo helps recharging my gepard ult by her ult provides atk boost and consistent heals through skill
This team is a slow but very nice way of defeating this boss. Just try to get extra shield on every turn even if you have gepard shield on, also keep skill point and heal even if you lose a little hp as this boss attacks like crazy

But I agree, Asta just literally melts enemy toughness.
Aventurine + Gallegher made this fight really easy for me, I built my Aventurine with sloppy Def% pieces until he was at 4000 Def, his damage is utterly abysmal but I pretty much took no damage throughout. With Gallegher I think it’s best to hold onto his ult until the attack comes up where you need to weakness break all of the enemies since his ult absolutely shreds. There’s probably much faster ways to beat this fight but my strat was comfy

I struggled with this boss, then I smacked together Kafka, Acheron, HMC, Lynx, and my god its ridiculous how much this team worked out compared to a dedicated nihility team LOL. My first setup was Ache, HMC, Bronya, Lynx, failed. My 2nd setup was, Ache, Swan, HMC, Lynx, failed. Then my most half assed team won by so much. None even got their HP to red. I think this time, it really WAS my skill issue. I figured I needed DoT characters to fill up Ache's ult, but forgot Kafka's follow up adds a stack too. Great guide though! truly.

Ohhhh my god thank you, I was starting to hate the story having to skip and run through it everytime I had to retry this damn boss... MC + Asta + Welt + Luocha made this a breeze! I'm kinda happy that Asta and Welt are such powerhouses in this battle, they were some of my main party members back in Jarilo-VI 😊
hi. used Story HTB, Himeko, Asta, and Fu Xuan at EQ4 here.
some tips:
- use trailblazer's Skill for weakness breaking (it's really good)
- same goes for Asta over people like Serval and Himeko. Bounce > AoE/Blast & Basic ATK
- first phase shouldn't be too hard; just try breaking minion toughness then big boy toughness. your two main sources of dmg will be toughness break and HTB's Superbreak from its Ult
- second phase can get tricky. like it was said in the video, try to just stay alive. just play how you did in the first phase except forget trying to dmg through Superbreak. you'll really need to stay alive before getting the R active.
- try to use the R active when the big shield is down, to break toughness bar.
- third phase is easy. try to have SP for HTB and Asta, esp. HTB. and use your R active whenever.
- your main goal in third phase is to just break as much toughness as possible. weakness breaking and dealing dmg will come naturally
- bonus tip, try to bring characters with Ults that deal dmg. the boss will have its toughness reduced by all Types.
as for pure F2P team, Serval for main dps, Lynx or Natasha for sustain. that's all we have.
now, if you have Himeko or Fu Xuan, they are also fine. Himeko might come on top of Serval due to the talent FUA.
Gallagher over Lynx/Natasha coz of Ult dmg deal.
dunno about the others.
Acheron? Acheron is a must on every team... maybe bar a couple.
ive been using imbibitor lunae bailu and himeko/kafka and its so hard - i cant even make it to the third stage. Really shows how this game is just as much about strategy as it is having powerful characters, because my characters are pretty well built. now i realize i cant just ignore the other enemies lol

Everyone going around saying its very hard, meanwhile for fun i did it with ratio, HTB, lvl 60 march, and lvl 60 gallagher on lvl 40 lc.
There is just a trick for the second half, you attack the summons to break the boss shield

if you want, i did upload a run (the only video on this channel lol) but it was from after i built gallagher, so rn he is lvl 80 with lvl 9/12 traces, but still on LC lvl 50
but basically, in first half is easy to survive, youll sometimes shield with march, but mostly quick boss breaks for team shield.
second half the shield is a big problem. but the trick is to always attack the summons instead, because the shield gets more damage from that, after that you go back to attacking the boss.
third half is just gonna be just breaking, and try to end second half with most ults ready so you can use them againt boos immediately.
i was able to do phase 3 without him attacking me once

Thanks a lot for the video! I almost ragequit the game, but decided to give it another try. Beat it first try with E3 Asta, E3 Serval and E2 Lynx and I think that's the most F2P way. Oh, and almost forgot, I didn't use any food

@@SpeedyGwen Try to take a break for a day or two, and maybe you'll find a way to beat it. As far as I can tell, you want characters with AOE attacks, lots of speed and a ton of break effect. I just wanted to add as well that I didn't have Welt so I used Hemiko instead and she was a great replacement. Thank you so much for the advice for this difficult boss and hope you can help me in the future :)

I haven't beaten the boss yet(I bet I could, if I didn't level the equilibrium(I thought you could level it down like genshin), because I don't wanna grind at all, maybe later. this boss was really fun for me tbh the difficulty was just right i only had to restart once after realizing guinaifen's hp was too low (i recommend making sure everyone has at least 3k hp bc before when she died she had only 2.8k but after switching to a relic that had a lil more hp she survived the entire thing) but i was still struggling enough that i was actually really enjoying it which was nice after the aventurine boss who i was too bored with in the story mode (sadly i fought aventurine after he got nerfed)
The boss battle gave me emotional damage. My team are luocha, dhil and acheron, but that son of nice lady wiped them out after second phase cut scene. I think i have big skill issue.
EDIT: I DID IT! I change Acheron with Asta and it's really game changer. My team beated the boss smoothly.
Yeah... This MF did give me a hard time at first to say the least. For me, Gepard's the one who came in clutch to replace my Presevation Trailblazer, since I couldn't use that spec for that fight
To me, it's clear that having a character who can generate shields or delay your opponent's turn helps tremendously if you can't just DPS your way through the fight, only having a good healer, at least for me, wasn't enough, my Natasha is fully specced out and there were moments where she just couldn't heal on time, mostly due to the boss putting her on sleep at crucial moments.
So yeah, always great to have a few Presevation and Utility characters laying around for when a boss gives you trouble.
wow you probably have a really well built Gepard! my Aventurine was like… the weakest place in my team but after I replaced him with Gallagher everything worked out fine.

My own Harmony TB with DDD replaced Asta so I could run with a DPS (Acheron)
It took me 2 days to level and build Gallagher but it was absolutely worth it.
And Welt also did a great job as well.

I got my ass kicked with Asta-Serval-Lynx, honestly caught me off guard because all other story battles were super easy and I got them first try. I'll try lvling up Gallagher and see what happens
Lynx is good for cleansing debuffs but Gallagher can deal fire dmg and get you shields that are just so much more valuable for this fight. I hope it helps!

what is this fight? First phase is easy but from 2nd phase he constantly keeps making shield and the moment I break his shield he just makes another. Also somehow killing my 4k HP Dan Heng IL from full HP from the chain hits by the small guys. This game loves to constantly softlock players for no reason.
yeah this fight you do need to prioritize strategy over damage or you’ll never get past that shield. try using a character like Asta/Bronya to help Dan Heng IL hit more often so the boss won’t have a chance to restore the shields or chain hit your team.

Last few bosses seem to be overtuned to people who have all the latest OP banner characters. Not everyone has access to Adventurine (Funny how everyone saying this boss is easy is using this character lol) to make the fight a joke. At least with the last boss they tweaked it and made it less difficult, maybe they will do this one as well.

I kept trying all kinds of teams for 3 days straight.
And only then turned to this guide, which finally helped me finish the battle. I went with Welt, Luocha and Himeko.
And dare I say, all my 5 star char are leveled up until 70 only.
I have my Welt traces maxed up to 70 too, but I never ever use him (I just prefer cutie DHIL more ❤), but I literally switched all DHIL relics onto Welt and into the battle I went 😂
Anyway, my point is thank you soooo much. Couldn't have done it without your Welt suggestion 🎉

Okay so I usually NEVER comment on videos but this boss was so stressful I'm hoping this helps someone out. I'm not great at builds, team comps, or whatnot but at this point I think everyone wanted to die based on the comments so here's what worked for me. I know people are saying don't bother with preservation characters however, I literally used the exact team in this video and every. single. attempt. my Asta was knocked down and it just messed the whole thing up so this was my EXACT line up in ORDER (left to right):
- Gepard Lv 80. (E2)
His talent Unyielding Will restores him if he's knocked down so I didn't have to worry as much about him if he did get taken out (He's a beefy boi) ADDITIONALLY, the bonus effect Integrity makes the boss attack him more frequently so he won't target the others as often. Since I used Serval (E3) instead of my welt, I made sure to keep his shield focused on her and Natasha (E6) because the TB can't get knocked down unless all your other characters are down so don't worry about them, make sure he has a good DEF build to sustain his shield longer. Make sure you keep building up energy for him as you go with his basic attack and occasionally his skill. Use his ULT before the boss uses his main attack if your characters have a low shield and monitor the enemies closely. Enemy hits also increase energy so keep an eye on that.
- Trailblazer Harmony Lv 80. (mandatory)
I used them before my serval (main damage dealer) could attack to increase her damage output and break effect on enemies. I also didn't have a great build either, I think I had 2-piece Broken Keel, 4-piece Watchmaker on them and just focused on break effect (and I think effect hit rate? (Idk what I'm talking about anymore my brain is fried) but that seemed to work, don't stress if their HP is low, and DON'T use Natasha's skill to heal the TB if the others are fine, use it on serval and Natasha herself (and only if Gepard is low and has already revived himself).
- Serval Lv 80. (E3)
I've been using her since the game launched so I'd say she's built pretty well and she pretty much carried the whole team for dealing damage and break effect since she's a lightning and erudition character. Like I said before, it is PARAMOUNT that you keep Gepard's shield on Serval especially in the second wave because if she goes down, you've lost the fight.
- Natasha Lv 80. (E6)
Now, I do have Gallagher, is he built? No lmao. Did I want to go out of my way to build him and stress myself out further? Absolutely not. You can be flexible with your healer as long as they're able to restore a good amount of HP and sustain the team. Use her ULT sparingly, you're going to want to use it after your team takes a huge hit and Gepard's shield is destroyed in the process. Do NOT use her skill on the TB if they're the only one low on HP because they won't be downed during the fight, prioritise her skill on Serval at ALL costs (but do make sure Natasha doesn't die ofc).

I know this is an F2P guide, but if you have Fuxuan it really helps. Just put landau's choice on her, and she pretty much soaks up all the damage for your team. Also thanks for the guide, I've been struggling so much with this boss.

I managed to beat this boss yesterday after more than 6 retries. My account is pure F2P, been playing since 1.1 but took a break after 1.6 and recently returned. What I did is basically:
- Try to control the amount of break damage you did against Harmonious Choir since the shield is mandatory for you to tank the big damage it does at the beginning of phase 2. Getting a minimum of 2.5k shield by the end of phase 1 is good. Too early and you might lose the shield fast, but too late and your team is going to take a huge damage.
- Fire, Lightning, and Imaginary are the goats here. AoE skills are going to be soooo amazing here. For second phase, DO NOT directly attack the boss but attack the choir members instead. I find out it depletes the shield of the boss so much faster 😂
- Food buffs help a lot. I used food buffs that gave additional crit rate and crit dmg, as well as Effect RES and HP increase. Don't be ashamed to use food buffs here, it helps a lot
- For phase 3, its the easiest phase. Just go unga bunga, and hit the boss a lot. I managed to get a whopping 35k shield stack and my team literally stays alive until the end
- My team comps are Welt, Himeko, Harmony Trailblazer, and Fu Xuan. If you don't have Fu Xuan, you can try slot in another healer like Gallagher or another Sustain. Try to have the same elements though like the boss weakness so it's much more bearable
- Lastly, GOOD LUCK! You're going to need it 😅
im literally stuck on this boss and idk what to do advice greatly appreciated,
i took a break from hsr and came back when there was only 10 days left on the event(the one where u have to do the main quest first) and i did most of the main quest until i got stuck on this boss
my main team is mono-quantam(qingque, silver wolf, sparkle, fu xuan) except i replaced fu xuan with lynx, i only have 1 leveel 80 char which is lynx and none of my characters have maxed traces
is tried so much comps such as
lynx, sparkle, dr:ratio
lynx, silver wolf, qingque,
lynx, sparkle, silver wolf
bailu, lynx, dr ratio,
all of them i got past phase 1 except phase two is just so hard, most of my team comps only two characters are on offense and the other two heal/support.
i have no resin(like at all) so my only resin supply is when it refills but im short on time because of the event
could someone please give me any advice? my account is already in a depressing state and the only built characters i have are the ones i used in my team comps

I used another f2p team, i think. Almost all of my caracters are half builded, so it could be easier to you if you have better characters.
My main idea was to just spam serval ults and survive, so I used my main trailblazer with sets that boost the break effects, just spare pieces.
I have a really well builded Lynx, a lot of hp and Energy Recharge to try and have always a ult available.
A Tingyun with the messenger travesing hacckerspace, just to boost the speed and recharge the Serval ult
And Serval with the basic Band of Sizzling Thunder set that I have since the begginin of the game, and put her a break effect rope just to break more the boss thougness.
My main plan was just to atack the main body with serval and trailblazer, with Lynx and Tingyun to regen de SP or boost/heal, spaming the Serval Ults with Tingyun support to try and break the main body bar, plainly ignoring the four other enemies since Serval ult can take them out with some luck of the Trailblazer skill hit's. That, and using food before starting the figth, a Def + buff, and a Breaf Effect + buff.
The first phase was easy enough, just being carefull with the strong atack of the boss, but didn't have any problem beyond that.
Second phase with the use of the fight, things got more troublesome, here i had to choose to attack sometimes the little enemies instead of the main body, to reduce the damage that the enemies ult was going to do. Instead of spaming the astral express train atack, I used to interrup the eneimes ult, giving me another chance to get more shield.
The tird phase was kind of anticlimatic for me, since the first atack of the boss took out Serval, so i didn't have a DPS anymore. But with the trailblazer Skill + ult, the break effect of those too where enough to finish the fight without any other problem, using Tingyun to boost a little more Trailblazer. At this phase, since Serval died, Trailblazer became my DPS in this phase.
So yeah, after 23 fights using different teams, this one was one that got me the win at my first try. Sorry for the long text, but hopefully it will help somebody

Man this boss is pissing me off. Honestly makes the story and game less enjoyable. lol I just want to advance finally.
Been stuck on him for 3 months now. (Got a job that I work a lot of hours so don’t have much time per day to put in a lot of hours upgrading, plus missing some updates when ya can get new characters that I missed) lol
I’ve read other peoples opinions and one was use Serval with march mc harmony and Natasha.
I’ve got Gallagher and asta and welt but got to upgrade them cause I never did with them cause all this time I never used them lol.
My top 80 lvl are Natasha, Main character, Serval, Firefly, March, Kafka.
Dam I’ll just upgrade asta and Gallagher and welt and hope I make it past now lol.

Its the easies boss guyzz just focus on killing his minions first and shields will break much faster and after u break the shield of the boss use ULTIMATE TRAIN ATTACK 👊👊👊
then start attacking dont prioritize high dps character focus on shielder healer trailblazer or any character of your choice thats it and take you time and use your shields wisely

To me Bailu sounds most reasonable - she can do small lightning damage to help your team get the shield quicker plus she can bring back one downed character. I hope it helps ~

Thank you for the video! I used himeko, Natasha, imaginary MC (use story), serval. As someone mentioned use heals on your characters except story MC, since the story MC can’t die. I could have used Asta to get everyone’s speed up to do AoE but I wanted to see if my Himeko could survive.
idk who told you this but my story mc ended up dying a lot lol.
Just beat this after losing thrice and uninstalling and then reinstalling the game.
Used MC (story), Kafka, Fu Xuan and Serval. Keep making sure Fu Xuan always has her burst up as she's bound to take a beating. Another thing to note is that the second phase is the toughest of all three. If you get past the second phase, you've basically beaten the boss as the third phase just requires you to keep breaking the toughness bar and dealing damage.
im currently using asta, kafka and lynx and im still stuck on this stupid boss 😭😭.. i actually dont know what im doing wrong here, but i've thought about replacing kafka (decently built, does good dmg) with acheron (semi-built, does around 3-5k w skill), or using two healers/sustainers, might just quit the game at this point until they nerf this boss like they did with aventurine.
I used your team except for my own tb and bailu and made it through.
Bailu saved my ass bc welt died on phase 2 and it would have been over except bailu's talent revives a dead team member once per battle
If anyone has bailu I HIGHLY recommend because although her healing is a bit rng where it goes it does a decent job and her ult can be used to soak up some damage if you don't have a shield yet
Welt or anyone like Dr. Ratio or just someone who can slow or imprison is a MUST because it can slow the boss and his annoying little chorus things giving you less damage and time to rack up skill points and shield
Astra is also a MUST because her spd boost from ult is very helpful for breaking the things and her aoe is decent at weakening them for welt or someone else to break
Second phase don’t go for boss if it have shield tho, itself carries damage reduction buff, go for the minions because they share Health bar.
AGHH I’m so tired of Sunday just killing my characters when starting the second phase and then just reviving 2 of them 😭

I hated this boss with all my heart-
He made me lose 10 times, with two different teams 💀
And that made me realize that Luocha wasn't the one keeping my teams alive, the Preservation Trailblazer was the one keeping the teams alive.
I got to the point of considering waiting for a Firefly rerun to complete the fight, until I realized that i couldn't interact with absolutely anything other thing than the fight against Sunday-

This boss is by far the hardest one. Because this boss does really high damage,can stun and gain shield.The first phase was easy but when it reach second phase,it got even harder like it would regenerate shield in second.The minions kinda annoying as it attack your shield and makes the shield lower and couldn't tank the damage. I use serval,asta,trailblaze and luocha but still can't beat it.
The phase 2 fight is actually super unfair

So why make phase 2 actual bullshit but make every other phase pure skill based
& this shit has a bit of RNG into it
UPDATE: I won. Turns out, just gamble for firefly & you win. I got her & ended up reaching the third phase.
The third phase is way more easier then then other 2.
Literally just break him every time he gets to the 6 or 5 word.
He’s really easy with firefly.
