Rats aren't creepy. They're incredibly intelligent, they learn their names and they can learn lots and lots of tricks, they love socializing with humans and seeing what you're doing. They're also very clean! A domestic rat cleans itself more than a cat and they keep their living quarters clean. They can be litter trained too!
I own pet rats, and most people think they’re gross and weird until they see them in real life! I can’t tell you how many times i’ve been told that my rats weren’t what they were expecting and how cute they actually are, and that they look like hamsters ?? lol 😂 Rats are incredible pets!! For all the reason you mentioned and more! I’m glad to not be the only one in these comments haha 😂💖

I don't see many people stick up for pet rats lol, mine are all litter trained, they love to huddle together (boys caged separately) in their hammocks, their squished faces together make for cute pics and it's absolutely adorable the way hold food or treats in their tiny little hands like babies/humans. They'll sit on your shoulder like little flightless birds, and well groomed females are SO soft.

I have a turtle named Lucky and Lucky likes music. At least twice a week I take Lucky out of his tank and we listen to music and I play a game where I just copy how Lucky moves and Lucky gets confused and tries to juke me out. Just cause a pet's a reptile doesn't mean they're less connected to you!
i actually had a bearded dragon once and he was the nicest boy ever. he bit me once by accident (when i was feeding him), but it didn't hurt at all actually.

If anyone is wondering, the pig is not being harmed, they don’t really like being picked up, and some can be very fussy. This might be a pig that is fussy, and not a huge fan of being picked up. Like I have a pig that dosn’t do anything when they get picked up, and one just dislikes it. ( don’t ask how I know, just so anyone’s concerned! )

If you get a hedgehog as a baby, it will recognise you as it grows and will flatten its spikes when you pick it up.
