It was waiting for the perfect person to take it home! 😊. Take care always!

Thanks for the vid man. I did the exact same thing! Old Manfrotto 055 found at flea market. I`m cleaning it as I write this, ao thanks for the giudance. Think it´s probably even older than yours. Mine has a kind of quick-lock wingnut mechanism on the legs. It was very gunky and sticky so I´m hoping for a big improvement. It feels like the previous owner have tried to use cooking oil to oil it.

yes, very interesting: I , myself did this dive into Manfrotto 8-10 years ago now, the locks are the ones from years ago, before the new 190 and beefree came out, so would put this ~2004 or so, from my memory. the head is similar to the 029 (paired with the 057's and other studio tripods)- but has the stubby rubber handles, and a different plate {the 029 has the hex plate, with 3/8 screw}, this has the square style, Arca Swiss?, so makes it a later head; it will be good to restore the head as well, as it is for MF cameras, so can take their weight, a good backup to have, or maybe for the MAIN camera?

Good information! I still have the original head but the rubber and foam are pretty far gone. I ended up putting an all head on it after all.
