First time I heard Patty sing, I was bartending at Frank in downtown Austin, probably around 2011-2012. She was fronting Soldier Thread. I was working the upstairs bar when they started playing and the first note she sang, I told my line of customers, "I'll be back in a minute, I've got to know who this voice is coming from." Such a talent, and such a wonderful human being. When I heard that she and Dwight were starting this project, I could not wait. They did not disappoint. Beautiful music you two.
Beautiful song, just perfect. When I heard for the first time, I instantly thought someone should make a movie about this song, not the other way around. Perfect.
We're losing faith in one another I'm losing hope for better days You wanna know how to fix it seven years a little late You can't measure sadness by your sorrow You're counting drops of heavy rain Forever crawling out from under all the rubble, all the pain I can't remember why we were fighting I can't remember what made you mad But I'm running out that old sweet forgiveness for you, for you Dressing up on Sunday morning Every other one's the same We sing divided hallelujah There's gotta be a better way And I can't remember why we were fighting I can't remember what made you mad But I'm running out that old sweet forgiveness for you, for you Oh sweet forgiveness, sweet forgiveness I can't tell you how to fix it I can't tell you when I gave up But I'm running out that old sweet forgiveness for you
Damn, I'm impressed. I was listening to a pre-made "cover" list and heard your Ignition cover. I've always loved that song and when I heard it from a females vocal perspective, I was highly impressed. Then I searched it on UA-cam and managed to find this. You have a beautiful voice with a control and security I never found myself. If I had been smart, knowing I was stage fright, I would have opened a record agency and signed people like you. You have a beautiful and pure voice. I can't wait to hear more from you. Keep on singing girl. Beautiful song and voice!

We're losing faith in one another
I'm losing hope for better days
You wanna know how to fix it seven years a little late
You can't measure sadness by your sorrow
You're counting drops of heavy rain
Forever crawling out from under all the rubble, all the pain
I can't remember why we were fighting
I can't remember what made you mad
But I'm running out that old sweet forgiveness for you, for you
Dressing up on Sunday morning
Every other one's the same
We sing divided hallelujah
There's gotta be a better way
And I can't remember why we were fighting
I can't remember what made you mad
But I'm running out that old sweet forgiveness for you, for you
Oh sweet forgiveness, sweet forgiveness
I can't tell you how to fix it
I can't tell you when I gave up
But I'm running out that old sweet forgiveness for you
