I am a music fanatic. But I care about my neighbors and that is because I treat others how I want to be treated. This is why I purchased EarPods. If you're living in a townhouse apartment or condo there should never be any point which the neighbors should hear your music or feel your base vibrating their walls.
Exactly 💯 I lived in the hood. I had a Haitian neighbor one time and his surround sound was turned up so loud it knocked and broke shit off my walls. I went to his door and after pounding on it like the police, he opened it and I just stood there with the broken object in my hands and looked at him. After a couple seconds I said, man that surround sound is really kicking.. he apologized and it never happened again
I think the title should be "This is why you should invest in headphones" I really can't stand people who blast their music for others to hear. Keep that nonsense to yourself
Screw headphones. There's noise ordinance laws. I ask nicely once, and after that they get to deal with police and the ticket for violating noise ordinances. I'm not putting on headphones and trying to ignore people disturbing the peace and quiet demanded by law.
Even worse are the ones who blast their car stereos to the point where they can be heard from 2+ blocks down the street... In some jurisdictions, the police can & will impound a car stereo if it violates local noise ordinances.
The inability to comprehend the courtesy of lowering your music in a public area, regardless of the situation, is my least favorite part of some people in public.
Makes me think of everyone who blast music and somehow get offend when someone ask them to simply turn the volume down. When said people don't put up with it either and typically have anger issues... I just don't get that logic.
it's typical of people that grew up in a poorer socioeconomic status. same people that will cross the street super slowly in such neighborhoods when you are trying to drive past. any resemblance of power authority that can have over somebody, they are likely to do
Crossfaded, at 6:00 in the morning, blasting music disturbing others, and he ends up with a slap on the wrist after nearly getting himself killed. Classic LaCrosse Wisconsin
Unfortunately the "victim" didn't help by admitting that they threatened to "come out there and smash that speaker" then actually came outside and got in his face before the gun was pulled. Sure the music was unreasonable and the guy shouldn't be intoxicated in charge of the firearm but by admitting to screaming at and threatening the guy before going out to confront him the reporting party could be seen as the instigator, at least partially, which meant they couldn't go with assault charges or anything and had to stick with the lesser charges Again, not excusing the guys actions but the caller made things much worse than they needed to be and put himself in harms way rather than just calling it in
Of course he was instantly released on a signature bond after his ex-wife said he needed to be monitored. They keep the crazies on the street for the working class to have to deal with.

@@zackdines Loud music can cause permanent injury and hearing loss. So does that mean if you are playing music at 120+ decibels which is deemed to be a danger of "immediate" injury, that under the self-defence rules that apply in some jurisdictions you could use lethal force to defend yourself? Or does that mean that music above 120 decibels constitutes battery? Words would only count as violence if they were shouted at over 120 decibels, if you can shout that loud at me then I would definitely consider it violence.
These judges that set these ridiculous low bonds need to be voted out. 500 bond for a second degree felony. If this guy gets out and hurts somebody that judge needs to be held accountable.
Well, in this case I'm more inclined that it was the right decision from the judge. The reason is, that he has a job, he wasn't belligerent with police. The question is, how much does it cost society to provide some care for the alcoholism versus paying for prison, and how likely is it that he re-offends. Normally I'd agree with you, but this one... Is different.
@prunabluepepper I agree with what your saying, but at the same time he pointed a firearm at someone and said he was going to kill them. If he doesn't re offend I'll be shocked. The guy clearly has issues and probably needs mental health treatment.
There was a guy here in Baltimore that was actually recently killed for confronting another guy about his music. The best thing to do is always walk away from things like this if you dont agree with it. We live in an extremely diversified society nowadays here in America unfortunately where folks have different viewpoints on life. Sometimes you can’t interrupt the things that other people find enjoyable. You may not agree with what another person is doing but that’s never going to matter so the best thing to do is always re position yourself somewhere else to avoid it for your safety. Bro was being obnoxious and disturbing the peace and brandishing a weapon, but since he occasionally talks calmly we're supposed to sympathize? Lmao you kidding me?
He was only "calmer" and "respectful" AFTER he was taken down. Most suspects suddenly become cooperative after they are physically restrained and they literally can't do anything except talk. What you actually saw was a taser working perfectly, forcing compliance by inducing paralysis, so that he couldn't have resisted if he wanted to. Otherwise he'd be playing the usual suspect keep-away game.

Unfortunately the "victim" didn't help by admitting that they threatened to "come out there and smash that speaker" then actually came outside and got in his face before the gun was pulled. Sure the music was unreasonable and the guy shouldn't be intoxicated in charge of the firearm but by admitting to screaming at and threatening the guy before going out to confront him the reporting party could be seen as the instigator, at least partially, which meant they couldn't go with assault charges or anything and had to stick with the lesser charges
