Many words have been used in guru granth sahib ji and dasam granth for one supreme formless lord like ram ( ramya hoya , formless lord present everywhere ) , allah, rahim ( reham karane wala) , hari ( dukho ko harne wala) , gopal ( go - earth, paal - caretaker) , pita, waheguru, akaal ( formless lord without birth and death) , gusai, chandi ( gyan- kharag; formless lord sword of knowledge) and many other names. All names have been used for the one formless lord according to their meanings and qualities. I jaap sahib, guru gobind singh made salutations thousand times to the supreme formless lord by stating his different qualities and his different names. For example, i salute bow to that formless lord who is 'anaame ' ( without name ), i salute bow to that lord who is without mark. These are the translations of some tuks in jaap sahib Guru gobind singh ji referred supreme formless lord as kaalkale ( supreme formless lord is the death of deaths, destroyer of destroyer) . Sikhs have a glimpse of and worship the formless lord through this prayer.
