Evan Buckley | Hold On To Me (9-1-1)

"I've spent a long time feeling like I wasn't enough, and I don't want to do that anymore"
I had three whole concepts for this video and spent forever trying to figure out which one to go with. In the end, this is the one that fell into place and I'm pretty happy with it. The main picture of this video, is that I wanted to try to explore Buck's feelings of inadequacy that were rooted in his childhood leading to a sense of reckless and lack of a personal survival instinct. Buck felt unloved and inadequate and somewhere along the way lost his own survival instinct. He put others first and didn't even place himself on the list.
I wanted to start the video looking at that recklessness and sadness and then turn it around to show the deep love and care that he has received from his found family in the 118 and how his life does matter to them - deeply.
I just love the idea of Buck as a character being loved so hard as an adult, that he starts to finally figure out his own self-worth.

(Also, I've never been great with sound balancing so please forgive me if some parts get loud and others seem a little too quiet. I'm a work in progress!)
