Don’t forget about rent. It’s basically impossible to find a rent in Dublin. 2 bedroom houses or apartment starts from 2000€ a month and it’s a long process to find one. Keep than in mind

@@scootergreen3 I lived on the west coat of Ireland which was the least hit by the useless Celtic Tiger (EU money) but the high costs eventually reached the West coast after a couple of years forcing me to get out of the country while the getting was good. I still do a limited amount of work in Ireland but would never base myself there and I have to be careful who I work for especially government bodies as they are always very slow to pay.

I have lived in Ireland for 10 years, this is all wrong. The Rent is the most expensive in Europe, the food and electricity bills are VERY HIGH. Bills are through the roof and the job market is difficult for immigrants without PHD's to get into management positions. Be prepared to be a waiter with a degree for the next 20 years.

I am a Venezuelan naturalised Irish citizen, living in Ireland for 18 years, I previously lived in the Netherlands, I have much better opportunities in Ireland than anywhere else, in the Netherlands I was the waiter, in Ireland, my work paid my education, and now I have two degrees (no PHD) and have a senior job in IT that only a few people can get, I am literally part of the upper 10% of Irish society. Electricity bills are higher in Spain (too much air conditioner), Germany, Belgium, all countries with lower salaries than Ireland, housing prices outside Dublin are affordable for professional salaries, especially now with remote working there is no need to live in Dublin,. Groceries are more expensive in Austria, Sweden, Malta, Belgium, and France, all countries with lower salaries than Ireland, the internet is very fast, I have 1GB/s in a small town in the midlands, the air is clean, people are nice (which is the most important factor), the society is family orientated, we live and let live, and I have a better house, more money, and more tranquility than anyone doing my job in Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, and the UK. You just happened to have bad luck, or maybe you don't like it, so your attitude brought you where you are. ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php?title=Electricity_price_statistics ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php?title=Comparative_price_levels_for_food,_beverages_and_tobacco#Price_levels_for_bread_and_cereals.2C_meat.2C_fish_and_dairy_products

USA and Ireland are very different. USA is land of opportunity and if you have skills it is possible to land a job there. But, if you are not an EU citizen in Ireland, then best of luck finding opportinities. Additionally, rental crisis and high rental costs will make your life more miserable.
