Thanks, I was getting more and more confused, and this has made my thought process on buying a camera so much clearer that this is the right camera for what I want to do

Very inspiring! Am trying to do moon shots with my R7. Yours look better. Your galaxy and planets are amazing! Thanks for showing what can be done and tech details, tips included. Very motivating!

Outstanding! I just made a video where I tell people that I don't think the R7 will be a very good Astro camera, I'm going to link to your video in that video's description so people can see that I'm probably wrong about that.

Thanks! Nice video. I have been using R7 for astro imaging a bit, so far not DSO, but that too is coming soon. It has so many modes to be used, that it's bewildering... for example, which "picture style" to use? best white balance? For moon, sun, and planets - best to use video? okay to use 4K crop mode? Any software cannot handle C-Raw? I now have both SharpCap Pro and APT supporting the R7, but not yet ASIAIR. Doesn't seem like they're in a rush...
I was wondering if you can provide a bit more details about your setup for eyepiece projection rather than prime focus (I've used primarily either camera lenses or prime focus with telescopes) - which eyepiece / lens did you use in that mode? Aren't you concerned about CA there? Tx!

Now that the 200-800 is out, any plans on revisiting this?

Did you mention what settings you used for the moon? I know it had to be f11 and 600mm. What ISO was required? I guess with live view, you can change the ISO until it looks right.

Great vid! Can you tell us what the equipment list is for the move-shoot-move? Will it work with a 5d MKIV?

All you need for that setup is the Move-Shoot-Move tracker, a tripod, and a ball head to attach the camera to the tracker. Any camera will work on top of the tracker, so the 5d Mark IV would be fine.

How many photos did you stack for Jupiter and Saturn?

What happens if you attach R7 directly to telescope, no camera lens... and then take moon photos?
